My bipolar and ptsd have been giving me h***. I am trying to keep busy doing things on CF and in my apt. I was manic but have come down and am pretty low. If anyone reads this please pray for me to become level. Thank you.

Things have upped the ante over here. I've almost become a fulll-blown recluse when you add the schizoaffective to it and the paranoia. I covered my three windows in the bedroom up so now no light comes in. I've always been anti-social but now I barely leave the house one or two times a week to go to my girlfriend but only when no one is around over there. If it wasn't for a couple of things keeping my mind occupied, I probably wouldn't have one left.

I also have ptsd that has the element of paranoia and fear many things about going out. I used to be more active but now because of my illness I feel I need a rest for awhile. I think it's a good thing to do, to protect yourself until you feel up to doing more. That is great that you have a girlfriend! Are you seeing a counselor? Mine comes to my apt.

I have been experiencing some anxiety about upcoming surgeries. Not the surgeries themselves, just the fact that my apartment is a mess and I am not motivated to clean it.
I would appreciate prayer, as I will be having sinus surgery, and a broken nose repaired on the 25th of June. Then, on July 3rd, I am having a mole and some tumors removed from my arms.
Thanks,
Trish

The extreme highs and lows of mania and depression can hurt your job and school performance, damage your relationships, and disrupt your daily life. But you’re not powerless when it comes to bipolar disorder.
Understanding the signs and symptoms and seeking professional help are the first steps to managing your symptoms and staying on track. But beyond the treatment you get from your doctor or therapist, there are many things you can do to help yourself, including surrounding yourself with people you can count on, making healthy lifestyle choices, and monitoring your moods.
