I have gotten a friend request, but do not know what happens if I accept the friend request. What do 'friends' do in these forums? I do not want to accept if it is something I am not interested in. Thanks. |

It does give you a listing of contacts and friends... and some people take it more seriously than others, keeping a close-knit grouping. It's a compliment, in one way, to be asked to be friended. And very impressive (at least to me) when I go to a person's profile page and see the big listing of friends. It means to me that they appeal to many different people and probably are a good friend him/herself!
On the software side, anyone you befriend will show with a + next to their name when on a site generated list.
You might want to have a close-knit group and then use that grouping to send out prayer requests or other newsy items like promotions, graduations etc.
But it doesn't demand anything of you, no requirements included.
