But I can't vote for him again, as I never did. I voted Barr, since GA was a dead set certain McCain state. Though, it came closer than I ever expected.
Same this time, I feel. The state overall will finalize Rep, as it has for years now. No reason to expect different.
But I am not entirely sure how I feel about the current Libertarian candidates. So...Romney or Libertarian? I really am just not sure who I will vote for, outside of "not-Obama".
Uh huh, same here, I am a "not Obama" person. Nothing against him personally, but I completely disagree with his views on the economy and on the proper role of government. And I also voted for Barr last time around, since WA was clearly a dead certain Obama state. Likely that'll be true this time around, and if it is, I'll have no hesitation about going for Johnson, who IMHO is the best LP nominee since its founding.
We began in 1972 with a philosophy professor, John Hospers, whom I got to know personally a little, and I liked him a lot. And I agreed with his views too. But he was an ivory tower guy, not really suitable to actually be president. There have been ups and downs since then. Johnson is the first LP nominee who is an articulate principled libertarian with the right experience and enough pragmatism to be able to actually govern. He has a proven track record of doing it as Gov. of NM. Envisioning him in the Oval Office is actually plausible.

No guilt of life, no fear of death This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

I hope that I've evolved since then, and am planning on voting for Obama this year.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if a third party of some kind steps out of hiding; perhaps it's time for our country to try something different. One with a platform to stand for morals and help those in need; one with ideas besides the same old issues we've been toying around with yet still having not arrived at any sort of reasonable solutions. In my opinion, the D's and R's are sort of wearing out their welcome. No offense to my donkey and elephant friends.

What about you?
I am going to break my rule of no political talk till the end of 2012 because of how you addressed the question so thanks in advance.
I am not upset that I voted for Obama. As a young man, my political views are just coming to terms. So how I vote has been quite diverse.
I am not convinced that a Republican would have done better. I won't be the one to say it would be worse because that is a hypothetical theorizing, but I simply cannot be convinced because of I am not in line with Republican thinking.
All I know is, I don't know how I am going to vote for 2012. All I do know is, there is a really good chance for me to write in Senator Bernie Sanders. I really like Bernie Sanders, and I also really like Russ Feingold and Ralph Nader.
So based on this, it is obvious that I am not voting Republican, Tea Party etc. As far as Obama, I really don't know. There is a chance for that as well. I predict I will be strictly making my choice between 3 write-ins and Obama. |

I'm still not voting for Obama.
