Would be interesting to know which type of religious sites are the biggest offenders.

Very interesting question....assume hackers would target high traffic, easy reading type sites, maybe target topics favoured by more mature age group ( less likely to have up-to-date antivirus/trojan protection etc).
You got me curious.... here's a recent story. http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/3082...xy-twitter.htm
Them darn meanie atheists are the ones who dunnit.
This blog makes it sound less interesting. http://blogs.csoonline.com/applicati...ehind-headline

or are you suggesting that religious sites do this intentionally to turn people away?
What sounds more logical.
This is what I get when I go to the s8int Christian web site The s8intcom Blogger
Its clearly an issue and I doubt its been instigated by those who run the websites. I bet its an attempt to censor the web, censor Christianity.
My two cents anyway |

Ouch! Of course these days any interaction with a website, even closing the page, is enough to install the malware. And it's scary how many supposedly reputable and trustworthy sites get compromised.

I remember one time I was very interested in the little Scottish ancestry I had...I have wee bit of McKenzie in me.. and I wanted to look up what the McKenzie tartan looked like. So I googled....kilts...well...that was a shock !! It came up with a homosexual site and pictures of these guys wearing mini, mini kilts...mmmm, not quite what I was after... But then I'm as thick as a brick when it comes to things like that, someone could say something dirty to me and I wouldn't know it half the time..

They come from the web hosting site ( I assume). Porn sites don't need ad support and have money and staff time to take precautions that probably aren't practical here. |

I think nether. More likely that spammers target religious sites as they are easier for phishing expeditions, more trusting in nature like they also target children's games sites too. |
