You know your party is in trouble when people ask did the rape guy win, and you have to ask which one? |

You know, I didn't think this topic through. Almost every post has countered my OP successfully. I think I was relying on some of the tin-foilers joining in. Did someone tip them off?
Why am I getting so pummeled by people who use facts as a crutch. How about someone spouting off something bizarre that can't possibly be true of organics? |

Here, i'll join in just to make you happy!!
But Megan Kintzer, director of development at the Rodale Institute, an organic farm and research center in Pennsylvania, says that organic farming is a more sustainable system.
"There is less energy use from organic farming, and the conventional systems produce 40% more greenhouse gases," Kintzer said.

If you use the phrase 'more sustainable system' then I can see that as accurate. But as far as making me happy, you're too late. I've lost. I still won't buy it though for completely nonsensical reasons. Everyone over 50 should get one free ride to be prejuidiced against something. That's at least a partial victory for me no matter how hollow. Plus my reasoning comes with a free tin-foil hat. |

That's what you get for overstating your case.
Might have been different if you said they are not worth the additional cost.
When I was in my teens I did a lot of gardening. A lot. I mixed my own fertalizer. A combination of horse manure that had been soaked in water and then dried out (so it would serve as the bulk), cottonseed meal, bone meal. BUT I could not find anything that provided significant amounts of Potassium except sulfate of potash.
Oops, a chemical. So what I grew was not 'Organic'. Use any pesticides and 'not Organic'. No matter what you do for the first 2 years 'not organic'.
What I grew was at least the match of any organic products that yuo would find in a grocery. (I've seen better than mine for some thigns at Farmers Markets).
You could have won with calling Organic overrated. |
