I was listening to a Bible study, and the burning in hell came up. and then i thought of fire, and the kind of fire that would possibly be in hell. Is it possible, that the kind of burning fire in hell is the same fire that was on the burning bush, yet did not consume the bush? (when God spoke to Moses)?

The burning bush in Exodus is οὐ κατεκαίετο, which is "not burned up", as you say.
But the "fire of hell" consumes whatever is put into it. Matthew 3:12 says
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
The word that John the Baptist used for "burning up" the chaff is κατακαύσει, burnt up, consumed. It is the opposite of the fire for the burning bush which is not burned up.
But then this gets into and supports my view of conditional immortality (or annihilationism and the eternal tormentalists call it), so I couldn't answer in GT because annihilationism is not allowed to be discussed there, and I can't get another infraction or I will be banned for a month.

Good question - I don't have an answer - looking forward to seeing what is posted.
Brinny first asked this in General Theology. I am an amateur hellologist so I wanted to answer, but I am not allowed to answer truthfully in GT, so I asked her to ask again here in "Unorthodox" Theology.

Correct: κατακαυσει burn completely with πυρι fire for God is a consuming fire.
Deu 4:24 H398 אכל A primitive root; to eat (literally or figuratively): - X at all, burn up, consume, devour
Heb 12:29 Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. πυρ καταναλισκον consume utterly; totally-burn-down
Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

1Ch 25:5 all these were sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to exalt his power;Hozeh ("seer") also means "to see" or "to perceive," but is also used in reference to musicians. It is also used to describe a counselor or an advisor to a king. The Hebrew does not necessarily indicate that the person is a prophet, but rather an advisor—someone who has wisdom.
It means "one who has insight." Hence, the essential meaning in Greek is "interpreter."

you will be free from your chains of the points of views of those that do not LOVE. if you do not harden your heart and understand that the Lord loves all men.
remember that the hypocrites are the ones trying to stone people. but when they saw that they were all worthy of being stones, they did no longer want to obey the Word of the Lord as they used to see it. because they saw the Word of the Lord as a shadow, but then when they knew that they were stones, that they then knew that God does not torture people, but God only says that when someone sins, that they must help their brothers and sisters out of it. because followers of God are stones.
but why is it that the stones kill the person that they hit? it is because they die and you know that LOVE kills wickedness. and you know that we are to die with Christ so that we may live with HIM.
judge not that yet may not be judged. i have the gospel written on my heart and I know who my Father is. you need not judge because behold the Holy Spirit tells us all things. if you are judged by God the his judgment is that since you die, that you also shall live. because I require mercy and not sacrifice.

If it was a literal fire the sinners would be burned up and destroyed....
Exodus 3:2:And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
God was the fire in the burning bush....
Why would God burn people?
Jeremiah 7:31:And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
Jeremiah 32:35:And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
