2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Yes, God is going to reward some with everlasting life, and, is going to punish many with everlasting suffering.
Yes, God is going to reward some with everlasting life. So the others will not be rewarded with everlasting life. They will not have everlasting life, so they can't have everlasting suffering. Daniel 12:2 doesn't say that they will have everlasting suffering.

I once believed the traditional view of hell, but I rejected it because it is unbiblical. My church doesn't tell me to say this, they still hold the traditional POV about hell. But I disagree with them and you, because I believe what the bible has to say.
O yeah I can really stand with you when you say you reject the traditional view. so do I. we could both fire off scriptures at each other all day but what is the point when we both think they say different things?
it all comes down to "who is God really?"
I mean, is he the God that:
1. speaks in parables like jesus did when he was on the earth
2. is the God of Love like Jesus constantly loved all while on the earth
3. the God that requires mercy and not sacrifice like when jesus said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" when they sacrificed him due to their beliefs about who he was and how they thought that God handles sinners?
or is he the God that:
1. makes people he calls "sons" only to later fail to raise them up properly and decides to to delete them
2. the God that tells His people to literally kill people when they blaspheme his name:
Lev 24:16 (YLT)
(24:16) and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.
because I can tell you now that if God wanted people to kill other people for speaking bad about His name, when ignorant people speak wrongly of His name all the time, then he must be some insane and unloving God to give such commandments, its just not the character of Jesus at all. and we know Jesus is God.

Can we look for what we agree on?
God is the creator, the author of life.
Jesus Christ is the Lord.
God is good. (I just corrected a funny typo - "God is food")

actually, His Word IS....His Word is like "manna" from heaven, spiritual Bread that feeds our souls.
