1,500 year old Bible found in Turkey

there is a 1500 year old bible that is in Turkey written in Aramaic that predicts Muhammad to come. I would have posted an link for information but I can't. Is it true though? does the bible really predict Muhammad?

What do you think about this?

The Bible does not predict Muhammad. There are Bibles that are older than that, none of which predict anything of the sort.

The Bible does predict many anti-Christs. Muhammad is certainly an anti-Christ. But that is very broad and not a specific prediction of that specific man.

The Old Testament "predicts" the coming of Jesus Christ. But not on His name, but only the nature, and the character of the Christ are mentioned.

If the said bible explicitly predicted the name of Muhammad, that would be very funny. Otherwise, it must make some prediction on his character. I am sort of interested in knowing how was Muhammad described in that bible, no matter it is a fake or not.

hi all,

Well, I'm confused. The headline says it's a 1500 year old bible, but the article states that it claims, of itself, to be written the 1500th year of our Lord. The claim within the book itself makes it only 500 years old, which would seem in agreement with all of the claims of the style of aramaic writing.

I don't find it to be much of a trick for a book to 'prophesy' things that already happened 1500 years before they were written, in the case of all that may be in the book concerning Jesus, and 900 years before, as would be the case of Muhammad.

This 'bible' seems to be the case of someone who was having difficulty teaching Muhammed to christians and so decided to write and 'find' this book that shows that, "Ah-hah, Jesus prophecied concerning Muhammad. See, it's written right here in this book I found."

God bless you all,
In Christ, Ted

I had a feeling it was a fraud.

The only thing that isn't a fraud is that a new manuscript was discovered like a month ago and approved by Daniel Wallace claiming it's the earliest manuscript we have.

Anyone hear about this?

That's not the only problem with it. Note that the article said Christ's body was covered with "100 pounds of stone." The term "pound" didn't come into use until the Ottoman Empire in about the late 18th century.
