Asher Intrater - The Ultimate Fulfillment of Joel 2 The video is from one of the Messianic Jews who I've been greatly blessed by over the years, one who has done much for the Kingdom of the Lord and is very passionate about seeing other believers be prepared for the Spirit of the Lord to empower them. Asher Intrader of Revive Israel Ministries has been working within the MJish movement for a long time and has been very life-impacting to me when it comes to considering the ways in which the Spirit of the Lord works amongst other nations.
In his view, as he has shared before on Joel 2: Acts 2:17 - "In the end times I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh." This has not happened yet. It really will happen. It will happen soon. When does this happen? - In the end times. What will happen? - God will pour out His Spirit. Who will it happen to? - All flesh (all nations). Any individual or congregation can receive the Holy Spirit at anytime. Yet this prophecy will be multiplied, particularly among the younger generation (Acts 2:17-18). It will happen during the events concerning the end times and the tribulation (Acts 2:19-20). It will usher in the Second Coming of Yeshua, the great and terrible day of the Lord (Acts 2:20). It will be accompanied by a massive sweep of evangelism (Acts 2:21). This is the same kind of revival that the disciples experienced in Acts 2. Yet it is yet to come. It will involve all nations. It happens right before the Second Coming instead of right after the First Coming. It will be accompanied by fire - not just the fire of revival, but also of judgment. The fire of the First Pentecost (Shavuot) launched the gospel and the Church around the world from Israel. The Second Pentecost will bring Yeshua back to Israel and establish the kingdom of God on earth. Before the outpouring in the first century, the early Messianic believers prayed together in unity all night in anticipation of Shavuot (Acts 1:14; Acts 2:1). In the twenty-first century, it is upon us, the International Body and Israeli Messianic community, to pray together in unity all night, in anticipation of this great end times' outpouring. As we do the same preparations they did, we will look forward in faith to the same kinds of results; and greater. Simon Peter's prophecy was quoting from Joel. Joel went on to mention that the catalyst for the prayer leading to the world-wide revival would be the renewed Messianic Jewish remnant in Israel (Joel 3:1). It will happen parallel to the time that the nations are gathering against the people of Israel and the land of Israel (Joel 3:2). All the conditions are coming into place now as they have never been in history. For anyone not aware, Brother Intrater does work with what's called the "Israel Mandate" organization, was made for the specific purpose of mobilizing intercessors in the church worldwide to help establish houses of prayer for Israel/Jewish outreach. Their goals are being accomplished by the Global Prayer Network (web based) and partnering with indigenous believers in Israel to see houses of prayer augmented---and there have been a number of MJ Fellowships joining in that mission/bearing much fruit. Many in the Jewish world have been coming to faith in radical ways/seeing that Yeshua truly is real. It was within this strain of MJudaism that part of my life occurred growing up.....and I loved it.
Asher has a very big passion for aiding others in seeing various aspects of the MJish movement that have either helped...or hindered it..from growing to its full potential. Concerning discussing the errors (as well as the strengths ) in Messianic Judaism and what the Law was meant for, Asher Intrater had an excellent sermon I was able to listen to, entitled "You Are My Beloved Son"...focusing on what it means to be approved by the Lord and how many within Messianic Judaism did not have true love for the Gentiles. The work he has done with "Revive Israel Ministries"--which is an apostolic ministry team dedicated to revival in Israel, with their work in recent years including street evangelism in Tel Aviv with Simcha Davidov, assisting at Tiferet Yeshua Congregation in Tel Aviv with Ari Sorkoram, working with the Netanel House outreach in Jerusalem with Rachel Netanel, teaching discipleship classes in Hebrew, serving in the Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel, and preaching in congregations and conferences throughout Israel.....and has truly been something I think is right on time.
For far too many often seem to think that there should be no concern for the nation of Israel when it comes to seeing the Spirit of the Lord rise throughout the entire Earth--and yet as the scriptures declare: Psalm 122 A song of ascents. Of David. 1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” 2 Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. 4 That is where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to praise the name of the LORD according to the statute given to Israel. 5 There the thrones for judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David. 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. 7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” 8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” 9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.
I so appreciate Asher's passion in raising up others to pray/intercede for Israel, as well as for others to see the Gospel spread throughout the nations as well. His passion for ministry has always stood out to me when considering the background he came from. Having been raised in a "conservative" Jewish home in the United States, Asher came to faith in Yeshua (Jesus) by a series of supernatural experiences while traveling in Central America in 1977-78---and has been living radical for the Lord ever since. It's always wild when considering the ways the Lord has been faithful to bring Jewish individuals to the Messiah. To see where he shared some of his testimony, Dr.Michael Brown intereviewed the man here.
Shalom

Asher's very passionate about the Israeli state/Israel in light of his living there and evangelising the Jewish people there who are very much hateful toward Messianic Jews--to the point of even forbidding other Jews to come into Israel for journey if they say that they're Messianic.
But he's also passionate for how the Lord works in all the nations

Actually, yes I have. Only once though and for only 14 days. It was a Jewish Messianic tour rather than a Christian one, in 2000.
Truly want to return, if G-d chooses to permit.
Have you been?

Still awaiting to go, although I'm believing I'm meant to go. Have had dreams about it and one of my sisters in the Lord who I've done prayer sets at the local house of prayer--the same groups that Asher Intrater works with in regards to IHOP---went a couple of months ago (shared here, here, and here ). After seeing how often she would be praying for Israel/felt she was meant to go and I believed in prayer she'd go after talking on it, part of me was wondering if perhaps it'd happen to me at some point if a door opens.
Of course, if I decided to go, I would not be going with a mindset that anything done in the name of Israel would be something I was meant to support--especially when seeing the ways other MJews have been mistreated there by non-believing Jews (sometimes outright violence) and how others who may be Arab/Palestinian (or Palestinian Jewish) believers are mistreated as well. For I'm more than for the thought of how believers are to be in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122), although I'm also not of the mindset that all things done in the name of Jerusalem were ever things that the Lord himself was ever pleased with....or things he called us to support at the expense of knowing how to truly love others....an more of this was discussed elsewhere in other threads critiquing aspects of Zionism that've been damaging...and some of this reminds me of what others have noted when it comes to their own critiques of Christian Zionism. For reference, one can go here , here , here or here in # 25 , # 5 , # 10 ,# 180 ....and one can also see here in regards to what others such as John Hagaee and other Zionists do when having a Mercenary mindset toward Israel starting war so as to bring back Messsiah), as discussed more in-depth in threads such as "Standing with Israel" /Obama calls for a return to pre-1967 Israel and Beautiful Video on Jews and Arabs in Messiah.. .
