What do you guys think of cultures that go naked?

That's their norm so there's nothing strange about it. I don't think, though, they would accept or appreciate a white westerner coming there and stripping down to his or her buff. I think they might find that patronizing or even offensive.

If you're that desperate to get naked - go to a nudist beach.

Wait, didn't you once criticize people who go to nude beaches and women who wear bathing suits to the beach? Or am I getting you mixed up with someone else?

I think that being naked all the time would be a little inconvenient, but at the same time it would also be freeing. I just wouldn't want to be outside in the hot sun working all day with the bugs biting me in certain areas. KWIM? And I can't even imagine a man going about his business with his privates hanging out. I just think that would be so dangerous! At least a loin cloth would keep it some what protected.

Ouch! What I'm picturing in my head makes me cringe.

Definitely wasn't me. I don't have a problem with nudity in of itself.


Actually, in most documentaries I've seen, the men have at least something protecting his junk, when they're actually out working, hunting, etc, and during relaxed times, they have nothing.

So it seems to me, that your issue lays mostly with safety issues of being nude all the time? Because that's actually a good point that I didn't think about.

I'm sure you've all seen documentaries on cultures in South America, where everyone is totally nude all the time, and it's completely normal. What's your thoughts on that? Do you guys think it's wrong? And if you guys spent a week in one of those villages, do you guys think you could be naked with them? How would you all feel about your spouses being nude in front of them?

Or those tribes in Africa, where women are topless all the time...do any women here think it's wrong? Would any women here try it, if you were amongst all the topless women? I bring them up, because those women aren't fully nude, and at least have their bottoms covered.

I personally would love the opportunity to among one of those South American Tribes. I definitely would be nervous, because it's not something I'm used to. But I think the experience would be enlightening.

Though I admit...my westernized vanity would make me seriously hit the gym for at least a month or two before doing so.
