Reps: 1,728,025,454,679,247,104 (power: 1,728,025,454,679,261) | | | Michigan: Santorum gets 17 delegates, Romney gets 13 delegates Even ABC news is now reporting that Santorum may have won more delegates than Romney in Michigan, though ABC wouldn't give specifics.
Some bloggers, however, think they know: Santorum Won More Michigan Delegates | The Moderate VoiceAccording to the MSM, and most people who blindly follow their reports, Mitt Romney won the Michigan primary last night by about 3 points, 41 to 38. However, like the Electoral College, the point of the contest is not to win the popular vote (Gore – 2000) but to win more delegates per state based on the apportionment of those delegates. Michigan’s primary delegate system allows for a set number of delegates to be won by state wide popular vote and the rest to be evenly distributed by Congressional districts. When you consider the facts of the contest, and the outcome of the voting pattern of the Congressional districts, Rick Santorum won more delegates by a count of 17 to 13 for Romney. No spin; just the facts. The MSM will not report it that way so someone has to.

Got any idea how many millions of dollars it took for Romney to buy those 13 delegates?

Or how many insane things Santorum had to say and how many sleazy tactics Santorum had to resort to in order to get his? Yes, "democracy" is indeed great. |

Romney still has his momentum now.

Reps: 1,728,025,454,679,247,104 (power: 1,728,025,454,679,261) | | Bloomberg reports this: Romney’s Wins Won’t Stop Santorum Challenge - BloombergThe financial advantage Romney has had throughout the Republican race helped him overshadow Santorum on Michigan television screens on the days leading up to the primary. Spending by his campaign and a political action committee backing him outpaced expenditures on behalf of Santorum by about 3-2, according to data from New York-based Kantar Media’s CMAG, a company that tracks advertising. The Romney campaign and Restore Our Future spent $3.12 million to air ads 6,229 times on Michigan broadcast television through yesterday, CMAG reported. Santorum and the Red White and Blue Fund, a PAC supporting him, spent $2.15 million to air ads 5,337 times. Evidently, Santorum wasn't nearly as outspent in Michigan as Gingrich had been earlier in Florida. Perhaps that's why the vote was so much closer.

If you support Obama, you support expansion of government and spending, increased intrusion of government into private life, and continued war and violence.
If you support Romney, you support expansion of government and spending, increased intrusion of government into private life, and continued war and violence.
If you support Santorum, you support expansion of government and spending, increased intrusion of government into private life, and continued war and violence.
They're all the same so I don't see why people bother about Romney vs. Santorum and each of them vs. Obama. The result is the same if any of these three are elected. |

Which at this point is the more important issue.
If it was a close race and we were going into the final few primaries it would be different. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
