Obama made the announcement that he is taking his “Plan B” pill, an exponent of the Magisterium of Nuns, Sr. Carol Keehan of the Catholic Health Association (which – against the US bishops – gave cover to Catholic democrats to vote for abortion providing Obamacare) made a statement that she is pleased with Obama’s compromise…

This is suspicious timing. Sr. Carol Keehan started praising Obama's announcement BEFORE he actually announced anything...

Poor Sister Carol! There she is, in the trenches, administering a vast healthcare system, dealing with the realities of keeping it afloat and dealing with ethical problems every day, and she is attacked, within minutes of making a statement, by "a blogger."

It's sort of like a news columnist thinking he knows more about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq than General Petraeus.

Maybe the President did ask her advice in dealing with this thorny issue--after all, she's the General in the trenches...she's the specialist....she's the expert....

Yes, I know she's a woman, and that probably gets your goat a little bit, that here she is running a vast hospital system capably and responsibly without needing a bit of advice from the Rev. Z.

Why isn't she in the cloister in her habit chanting in Latin and sewing vestments in her spare time?

The answer, of course, is that she has enormous gifts, and, since the opportunity to use those gifts is restricted in so many areas of the Church, she put them to God's service in healthcare...

Even if she was capable of running an archdiocese...

Let us not forget that Sister Keehan went against what the Bishops said. That action shows that she has little credibility left as Catholic spokesman.

I wonder about that embarassinging questioning of Romney back in the New Hampshire debate. The one loonng before Obama's HHS Mandate where George Stephenapolis kept questioning Romney about states forbidding contraceptives when *no* state was even interested in that. Wondered why the tortured questioning and then lo and behold Obama acts against Religious Freedom by mandating that it be covered. Honestly, it made no sense whatsoever. But now I wonder if this wasn't the *real* reason for that. Romney was chosen simply because he was the supposed front runner.

Oh well, Obama has just given us our Rosa Parks moment.

BTW, I really wish they would stop repeating the lie about 98% of Catholic women using contraceptives. It is such a bald-faced lie. In order to receive Communion worthily, use of contraceptives *must* be confessed and repented of. And helping to abort a baby (or giving aid to one) is an automatic excommunication. (Ask Nancy Pelosi--hear she has already been excommunicated.)
