I have never really liked peanut butter but I have started buying natural peanut butter (only two ingredients: peanuts and salt) because it fills me up and is convenient I guess.
But it gets old. I just eat it plain on bread.
How does one make peanut butter more enjoyable without adding a lot of sugar or other things that should be avoided? The only thing that I can think of is to add banana slices to that sandwich.

Peanuts have a lot of protein, so that is good, but they also have a lot of fat (50%), so that is less good.
However, if you don't like peanut butter, then don't eat it. There are plenty of other things to put in a sandwich, without eating stuff you don't really like.

I often mix pure, natural honey with peanut butter. That makes a pretty good sandwich if you don't mind the stickiness. I guess that's considered adding sugar, but at least it's a natural source of sugar and not high fructose corn syrup or tons of cane sugar.

I prefer almond butter. There's a reason so many people are allergic to peanuts. They grow underground and therefore mold a lot. It's the mold that people develop allergies to.
I think it goes well with apple slices. I am weird though and microwave the peanut butter then dip the slices in.

I was gonna say, there are other nut butters to check out and experiment with as well. I've never had almond butter. I love peanut butter though

I had almond butter a good month ago and loved it. I saw it at fresh&easy and had to get it.
