| Hallo aus South Dakota Bitte verzeih mir, ich spreche Deutsch nicht.
It has been decades since I took German at the university.
Last winter [incidently, my family name is Schnee and my wife's is Christmas] we spent two weeks with a student group in Leipzig, my first trip to Deutschland, with one weekend in Berlin. [Some pictures are linked from my homepage.]
My wife is from Romania where she just completed her Ph.D. in music.
I wrote a book about the Christmas truce between the British and German soldiers of WWI. This reflecton on the truce seeks to present the Gospel through the story of that unique event. If anyone would like to see it, I would be happy to send the pdf. There is a contact link on my homepage or send request to snowfarm at gmail.com
I am particularly interested in any feedback as to whether this book would be of any interest to German ministries as an evangelistic resource. Here, there is particular interest among the older generation which is quickly passing away. (My own father is 86 and was 17 at the time he served in WWII.)
Wishing you all a blessed and peaceful Christmas. |
