This book cover was designed from a double exposure photo that I took of a window in the Methodist Church in Greenfield, Indiana and the double was the missiles at Wright-Pat. AFB in Dayton. At the time, I was in seminary at Earlham and attended the Methodist Church in Richmond.
I grew up in the Methodist Church and was a member for over a quarter century. Wesley is still at the top of my most admired list. I have his works.
You can read a bit of my story with the Kindle "Look Inside" feature, here: Amazon.com: Christian Pacifism: Fruit of the Narrow Way eBook: Michael Snow: Kindle Store
Along a more Seasonal theme, I wrote a book about the Christmas truce of WWI-- Oh Holy Night: The Peace of 1914. Click on my name here and go to my homepage if you are interested.

I too am working on my walk as a Pacifist. It's not an easy way but I believe it's Christ's way and I'm also a lifelong Methodist in the A.M.E. tradition so I pray for your continued success my brother!

Guess this doesn't show it, but I like your signature quote. Here is a similar one from John Wesley:
‘ He that believeth not shall be damned,’ is spoken of them to whom the Gospel is preached. Others it does not concern; and we are not required to determine any thing touching their final state. How it will please God, the Judge of all, to deal with them, we may leave to God himself. But this we know, that he is not the God of the Christians only, but the God of the Heathens also; that he is ‘rich in mercy to all that call upon him,’ according to the light they have; and that ‘in every nation, he that feareth God and worketh righteousness is accepted of him.’
And glad you liked my photos of Romania, Someguy.

The original has been out of print for sometime though you can still easily find used copies at amazon, bookfinder, etc. and WorldCat library search shows over 50, mostly university and seminary libraries with a copy. [Don't think the demand would justify the cost of putting it back in print through POD.] |
