I would rather have a transgender or transvestite use the womans room as using the men's room can get them beat up badly
Also as far as that goes, I know women with very masculine features that have been mistaken for men, and have been called out for being men which they are NOT! So where is the line? Are no females (whether transvestites/transexuals or women born women that have manly features) allowed to use the womans change room unless they fit a certain criteria?

"Transgenders" deserve no breaks as far as fitting rooms are concerned. Even if a "transgendered person" has had the surgery, if their DNA was checked at ANY TIME- they would still be the same sex they were when they were born. And by the way, NO, they shouldn't be allowed to be in any other fitting room than the one that matches their DNA. Men to the men's room.

In Christ, GB

Well, God set the criteria.
I just want to feel safe when I try on clothing in a store and I won't patronize any store where measures aren't taken to provide for my safety as a woman. Perhaps another dressing area for transgenders, etc.? Seems to me, if a store is going to acknowledge that, they should provide for that without treading on the rights of others. Yeah, but I guess that would fly in the face of the almighty agenda.

Hi everyone.

I hope you are having a blessed day so far.

As far as this Macy's policy. My opinion is this:

I pray for individuals who are unsure of their sexual orientation. These individuals are, for the most part, very unhappy inside. They feel so conflicted but what they feel inside and how they look outside.

I do not feel unsafe using a dressing room with a man in the next stall who is trying on woman's clothing. He is not there to assault me. He is there to try on clothing. I am not there to judge him. If I were to feel unsafe it would be because there are people who are harassing him and provoking him. That could lead into a violent situation.

Mark 2:16
And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

I may find it strange. I may not understand it. But if a person dresses oddly or acts differently than what I think is normal...who says what I think is normal, is right?

I am not here to judge. I have enough sin of my own.

"I pray for individuals who are unsure of their sexual orientation. These individuals are, for the most part, very unhappy inside. They feel so conflicted but what they feel inside and how they look outside."
And this should be the attitude of all Christians. There is a reality, however, that has nothing to do with people who are confused about their gender. There is evil in the world and people who have evil agendae and having once fallen prey to this, I have no desire to fall prey to it again least of all when I'm trying on clothing I wish to purchase in a dressing room that has supposedly been set aside for those of my gender for privacy and security. A transgendered man can identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual or asexual. Any way he chooses to be, he's still a male and as a woman, I do not wish to share my dressing area with a man who is not my husband.

You didnt get my point though...
What about those females (and I know a quiet a few) that have masculine features and are often mistaken for a man (born females and heterosexual)? Is it right for them to be kicked out because they dont have the feminine features and someone thinks they are a man? It is very hurtful when one asks if one is a man or female so asking someone would seem very obnoxious IMO.
What about the lesbian? Should she be kicked out? There are very feminine looking lesbians that people would not assume were lesbians, they may be trying to check me out...should one be asked before hand their sexaul orientation?

Spoiler for Some Good Rules for Christians:

Luke 10:27 (Love God Above All, And Your Neighbor as yourself)
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 7:12 (Do unto others)
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Matthew 5:43-48 (Pray for those that persecute you)
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Luke 6:27-29 (Love your enemies.)
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

If they find a Christian mistaken in a field which they themselves know well and hear him maintaining his foolish opinions about our books, how are they going to believe those books in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, when they think their pages are full of falsehoods on facts which they themselves have learnt from experience and the light of reason? Reckless and incompetent expounders of holy Scripture bring untold trouble and sorrow on their wiser brethren when they are caught in one of their mischievous false opinions and are taken to task by those who are not bound by the authority of our sacred books.
Isaiah 8:12-13 (NIV) "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."

No, I'm afraid you're missing the whole point of my posts. It's not about sexual "orientation". This thread is about a store negating the security and privacy of its patrons.

I get what your saying but then what about if your in the change room and the girl beside you looks like a guy, do you then want them to have their own dressing area as you may not be sure that they are indeed female when in fact they are?
As I said I know many females (born females, heterosexual females) that look just like a man! Those females have been asked to leave female area's (bathrooms, dressing rooms, change rooms) as people are ignorant and assume that they are a man.
