Rev. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

This verse seems clearly to be pointing out three entities, not referring to men exactly, but some concept symbolized by the idea of a devil, false prophet in particular, and the seven headed beast.

The beast must mean the Roman and Greek Culture of hedonism and sexual promiscuity which returned after the 1000 years of Christianity during the sexually prudent monasticism of the Dark Ages.

It seems clear that the beast that had been wounded and disappeared for 1000 years returned withthe Renaissance, and is quite evident in the Western World today.

The Devil in that case, must be the whore of Babylon who sits upon this culture.

And, Mohammed is a good candidate for the False Prophet who espouses a return to the Law, Sharia, which is almost identical to that enforced by the Jews which they call Torah.

"Aeon enduring" or "aion to aion" isn't necessarily synonymous with "everlasting". It's generally used to imply a long indeterminate period of time. It's intended to bring to mind longevity. It could be used symbolically for "everlasting" (in the same way we might say billions and billions of year to represent "forever") but there is no evidence it was used in such a manner when speaking of suffering in hell.* It can also be used to reflect a quality of time rather than a length as well. Like "life of the Aions".

It would be illogical to accept eternal suffering being inflicted by God when you see the nature of God revealed by Christ. A God who is shown praying for those who were executing him. A God who tells us not to return evil for evil. To love our enemies... etc.

* In fact the term is used in the Greek septugint Old Testament for things that we know are not really "everlasting" such as mountains.

You make a good case for defining the term everlasting.

But the Reality is that god did destroy all mankinds except for Modern Homo sapiens once, and that Extinction of a species forever and ever is a real threat to those who will not bend and adapt to the "his" ways.

If the flood literally happened and had some sort of supernatural cause I would say that it was the demiruge who did it rather than God the Father. The demiruge is merely just but the Father is compassionate. The Father returns goodness for evil. The demiurge on the other hand returns evil for evil. The Father tells us to love our enemies but the demiurge tells us to pick up our swords and kill Canaanite men women and children so we can take the land they are living on.

Hi LLOJ!

I seems there is more free speech allowed in the unorthodox theology section. Annihilationism should be the most orthodox doctrine concerning hell. According to the bible the wages of sin is death and the penalty is eternal destruction. (Romans 6:23, 2 Thess 1:9)

But these truths can only be discussed in unorthodox theology. But if I wanted to discuss all of the ways that fallen angels torture sinners in hell, I could easily do that in GT, as long as someone doesn't post the truth from the bible. The minute anyone says "Wait a minute, doesn't the bible say that the penalty for sin is destruction?" The mods come on and say "annihilationism can only be discussed in UT."

Bible Jesus PROVED men do not have to sin

the many then are saved later as Jesus also PROMISES [Rev 7:9-10]
but first the MANY are destroyed [Matt 7:13-14]

If you truly believe Jesus then you will believe what he says about this, not listen to the diverse interpretations by sinners in countless divided churches that simply CANNOT [logically] be ONE truth of God ...

sinners dressed up as priests are NOT the authority of God
only saints have the authority of God
and whilst they may have been sinners
they stop in obedience to Jesus command to love all
through love of the God of love of all

if you knew love
one would know God
that He cannot lose anyone
because love by nature is not preferential to anyone

yet on the way to all lo=ving one another
a FEW must be first after jesus
the 144,000 who stop sinning in this earth
is only the BEGINNING

but mankind destroys this earth with continued sin
of the masses
- and even our so-called religions do not eradicate poverty and misery
which their usurped authority could
IF it were love of all
so it is not
not of God
... then of whom ? :-

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil

God then will save all because He must do so to be the God of love,
but it is progressive
the FEW saints of this earth
in turn set up the kingdom come in the new earth
where the many are saved by works AFTER release of all from 'hell' and death
as Jesus PROMISES [Rev 20:13]
[see the scriptures explaining in clear terms by God
why almost all men are wrong now
because Satan has taken over religion from the saints
sinners teach sinners subtle lies about salvation, about God, about the Christ,
even about holy days of memorial to the truth of God
though all is WRITTEN CLEARLY
unambiguously if one reads every word
knowing it must be ONE whole
else it would not be the word of God...

know then the many MUST be deceived by Satan
so mass religion MUST be false
Jesus himself has told us
but of course
few can bear to even read
his truth
and accept that FEW must be first
because most are not yet ready
to choose to OBEY him as lord
and stop sinning
despite all [except he] have sinned

... there is the point
Jesus PROVED men do not have to sin
but freely choose to sin
that we can and will eventually all freely choose to love instead
but first the many destroy even ourselves and our earth by mass sin
so God [easily for the creator] makes another earth
and next life is set up as the perfect kingdom
at last ruled by Jesus
for the sole purpose of saving the many
by rule of the few who loved NOW
[and most died for that love of all, following Jesus in death as in life]
with love, not sin, as the law

The son is our hope, because he is Truth and the Truth will free us the capriciousness of Reality.
I would say rather from the capriciousness of the world appearance viewed through the lens of ignorance. Our fallen mind created kosmos. Reality as it is in itself is already perfect.

The Father isn't playing around like he is our mommy.
The Father doesn't return evil for evil. He returns good for evil. We are supposed to be like the Father in this manner as well. So that we can perfect "even as our Father in heaven is perfect". In other words we would be imitating the Father who also "behaves" in this manner.

Matthew 5:

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
