No silly, distributism! Read Quadragesimo Anno by Pope Pius XI. It's a very useful document in that instead of merely knocking unjust economic systems, as so many have done so well with socialism and capitalism, he details a better way.

Ah yes, I've heard of Distibutism. G.K. Chesterton also write in support of it.

Yuppers! As Chesterton said, "Too much capitalism does not mean too many capitalists, but too few capitalists." I think that's what the filthy , 10 Commandmets violation hippy drug addict filth-dwelling OWS crowd are railing against. They don't (as a group anyway, I'm sure some individuals do) want socialism, they want a shot at the American dream, they want upward mobility, they want an average income that grows in steady proportion with the upper 1%'s income. Nobody wants the rich to become poor, or for all to be equal in that sense.

Heres one guy's opinion concerning distributism.

Distributism’s Fixed, False Beliefs

No, it’s more than that. It’s a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. How easy it is to talk about everything, but about Jesus hardly at all.

According to Wikipedia, Distributism is a Catholic mixed economy system. Seems to be a mixture of market economy (capitalism) and planned or command economy (socialism), two main economic systems.

Don't think a country that guarantees religious freedom is going to embrace a solely Catholic economic system.
