I was done an injustice by a person and I just want to know if there is a supreme justice above what people think is justice. Anyways the question is NOT about what is justice, I just want to know why im not getting my answer. I find it very difficult to believe I have to give my heart to "God" when I cant hear him or have any actual proof. The only proof I have is what is in the Bible.... but so what? If that is the proof then every other religion is also legitimate because they have "Poof" I dont want words on a page, or a spiritual foot warmer sensation created from my own emotions I WANT TO HEAR FROM GOD AND KNOW HE IS REAL. Does anyone honest person out there have any good information for me about why? Please spare me the scripture, like I said those are words in a book. I hard God is a living being, "he is alive" how can i KNOW this to be a fact? And please dont tell me faith that is just foolish, Im looking for an answer.... so I turn to the bible and just believe it? That is no different from any other religion having faith in their God. Anyways like I said, dont tell me what the "bible" says. Im looking for solid proof here people and I need it desperately to know that some source of divine truth, law, and morality exists.
Faith unlocks the secrets and wisdom of God not
our demanding to know or our desire to have God prove Himself.
God has given us His word through Jesus Christ as attested to
by many witnesses (the gospels) so if we read them and
believe, we will then have faith to pray to God in a way that will cause God to move.
Look at the examples of many of the miracles that Jesus performed.
Here is one...
A Centurian came and asked Jesus to heal his servant and Jesus
was willing to go and pray but the Centurian said: I am not worthy
for you to enter my house but
say the word and my servant will be healed.
Jesus said that this man had great faith, greater faith than He had seen
among God's people, the Jews.
So here is my advice to you, if you are a Christian and believe in Christ as your savior.
(If you are not a Christian then seek out people who can explain the gospel to you and pray with you.)
So, if you are a Christian and have faith that Jesus Christ is the
Son of God, sent to save you from your sins and give you eternal life,
approach God with this same faith. When you pray, pray like this. God I KNOW you are good and that you love me. I know that you want to reveal Yourself to me in greater ways. I ask You for forgiveness for any doubt or blame I have place on You and I ask you to give me a new heart and to transform my mind and to give me MORE of Your holy Spirit who will guide me into the truth of who you are and what You have for me. Father, I trust in you and I KNOW that because I believe that You are true and a person of Your word, You will bless me and reveal to me more of your love, purpose and plans for me in my life. Father, I will no longer make this an issue between us because I KNOW You want this more than I want it. I put it all in Your hands and ask You to have your way in my life. In Jesus name I pray. Here is an answer I gave to another on a related issue.
I have struggled with this very issue in my life.
I have seen miracles so my expectations are pretty high now.
I have put myself out there and prayed for people who have needed
miracles while telling them that God is ready, willing and able to do it
for them and then have nothing happen.
Think about that...
I have placed it all out there and it has not gone the way I have believed
it should, must be as is stated in the Bible as.
I have been reduced to a fetal position, curled up as a child crying
out to God and asking Him to explain WHY?
Here's is the lesson I have learned after years of fustration and grief.
God loves you and me....right?
God loves us absolutely and no matter what, God has chosen to love us.
God's love is not conditional for He love all men no matter what,
even if they reject Him and sin against Him and others, God loves them.
God loves us not because we are good enough, desireable, talented or
FOR WHAT WE CAN DO FOR HIM OR GIVE HIM.
So why do we treat God differently?
Why does our faith and trust in Him depend on
what He will or will not do for us? Why does our love or devotion depend on what God will or will not give to us?
I have made up my mind that no matter what, I will not allow anything to separate me from God.
I refuse to be moved by the fact that I have asked God for "something" that never comes about.
I will not let that "something" come between the Lord and myself.
I am at peace... I still pray and get wonderful results and when I don't see the
results
I give it to God in faith knowing that He loves me and
I love Him and that no matter what, we are good, we are
close and we love each other not for what either has given
or provided but because we CHOOSE TO LOVE NO MATTER WHAT.
God has answered so many prayers in my life that I see my
cup more than half full and I am not going to let those things
that do not go as I THINK THEY SHOULD, derail my wonderful
relationship with my best and truest friend who died in my
place and took all my sin, guilt, shame and blame and gave me
ETERNAL LIFE ON TOP OF IT ALL.....
Don't let anything come between you and the God who loves you even
when you have nothing to offer back to Him....
