I went to college for nine years; I received my master's degree in Gerontology. My advisors assured me that gerontology is the course that I should take if I wanted to be in the Social Workers' field. Well, I have found that to be a social worker in Oklahoma, one must have a license. I would have to return to college to get a social worker's degree! Quite frankly, l I can not afford to do that; already owe the government my life. I have a few factors against me; I'm a woman, I'm over 55, and I'm black. I feel that my only hope is prayer. |
