what kind of virtual universe would you create?
what improvements would you make on our universe?
I wouldnt make things out of atoms.
the smallest particles in my universe would be cell-sized
and they would be programmable so they could take on whatever properties you needed them to have.
I would also create much bigger particles too.
They could be programmed to take on any shape and could be used as houses (or ships)
such a house could never collapse because its just one single particle.
Nor would it age or wear out or burn down.
the whole universe would be one giant world
no planets or stars, just one flat plane that everything is attracted toward.
The plane would wrap around so there is no edge.
Ideally, it expand continually so that as the population grows there would always be space for them.
Not sure how that would be accomplished though.
I was thinking the light source would be a kind of hyper-northern lights
I was also thinking there would be 2 fluids.
one dense as water and the other dense as air
the less dense fluid when placed under extreme pressure would become the denser fluid.
the energy of an incoming comet would be absorbed by this mechanism.
and the atmosphere would be extremely thick to fully protect againt anything falling into it.
people would be 1 inch tall.
The only hard part is fitting a human brain into such a small space.
since the smallest particle of my proposed universe is the size of a cell
then it follows that each particle would have to be able to act as a neuron or a group of neurons.
Since its programmable that shouldnt be any trouble at all.
they could also be programmed to act as muscles cells or any other kind of cell.
imagine being able to lift 50 times your body weight.
think how much work you could get done
poverty would be nonexistent.
obviously I cant do it justice. I'm only human.
All I can do is suggest the broader features.
I'm sure some super-intelligent super-being could find a way to make it diverse and interesting.
I am not saying that God screwed up with this universe.
I am saying that his purpose in creating this universe
evidently wasnt to create the best possible world

This line cracks me up. Don't you think some of the other things (all things) in your list warrant that line after them as well. It seems like you are implying the other things are straightforward, that makes me chuckle. |

Oh, and bacon would taste 3x more bacon-y.
Also, trilobites would still be alive, the Yankees would never win a game, and Emmanuelle Chriqui would be my gf.

I have no idea what you mean by that insult and I suspect that you dont either
the plane it is attracted toward is 2d but the world would be 3d.

yes, most of it is straightforward.
I have no idea why you would think otherwise.

now that is just stupid.

I guess that's my bad.
But you're right, of course. Bacon-flavored vegetables are stupid, and house-shaped particles and inch-tall humans aren't.
