2) before you joined koc were you told about the annual due/fee
3) if you can, can you please tell me what the oath was you swore to ? it does not have to be verbatim, you can just give a general outline of the oath

you must have a sense of humor WA because even i find it hard to believe this is part of the koc oath:

I believe the average dues is 25$-35$ a year. It depends on the size of the group and fundraising. But 25$-35$ a year seems to be the average. And it is on most websites and in the recruitment literature. So I would think if someone did not know, they were not paying attention.

not my experience in over 20 years these guys have been trying to get me i have never once had one tell me that there were annual dues and in fact only a little while back accidentally doing research ran into it
i have asked other people who have had attempts to recruit them and every single person so far showed surprise that there was a fee- in fact i just talked to someone who next month is joining and he commited and no one to date told him anything about dues
i thought once i would join just to get them off my back- 90% of knights dont even actively participate; i would be very angry to have taken this route and discovered that i had to pay fees every year and go through insurance sales pitches
that would annoy me and to think i would have to pay for it to boot
Well every recruitment drive I have seen (at over a dozen parishes) the dues is mentioned upfront.
It is a fine organization. The Pope supports it. And like most organizations they have dues to cover expenses and charitable work.
If you don't like the knights don't join. No one I have ever talked to was surprised there was a dues.
