Don't feel too sorry for sexual predators! Their lives are made difficult because of their own vile actions. The pity you feel for sexual predators would be much better suited to the victims of sexual predators.

Here's a novel idea: if someone's still a major threat, don't let them out.

I mentioned an unintended result which befell the sex offender that lives across the street from the father of three of my boys . .. are you saying that I shouldn't feel bad that society deemed he had paid his debt and somebody walked into his joint while he was putting away groceries and shot him in the head?
I believe, if we (as society) feel that someone is unsafe to release, we shouldn't release them. I believe felons should have the same right to bear arms. . . if you wouldn't trust them with a gun, they shouldn't be out. That should be the litmus test and those that pass it should be free ad unharassed (and shot in the head at random times). I doesn't mean I support childmolesters, it means I want a justice system I can count on to keep unsafe people off the streets. It means that any former criminal SHOULD be regarded as having paid their debt . .. if you paid your debt, does the electric company still come after you for this month and last month's light bill? No? You pay your bill and move on with the lights on. Criminal justice should be the same.
