Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
A simple google search would have answered your question far faster than any posters on this board could of.
Is that a YES or NO?

As I understand it, the theory of evolution was stagnant, until Darwn wrote The Preservation of Favoured Races, which espoused the idea that man came from the apes of the Galapagos Islands (or something like that).
His 'natural selection' provided the breakthrough technology to get evolution moving again.
Owning apes is such a bother. It's hard to get a clear title, then there is the insurance, maintenance and licensing fees. Better to rent apes or at most hold a long term lease.

However, to answer your question I would guess Darwin didn't own any apes. I know on the voyage of the Beagle, he brought back many specimens, but I don't think he brought back any sort of primate.

Okay, thanks.
I don't think he did either; I just want to be sure.
