#2 Nice! Could you list 5 negative things he's said about the Tea Party?

#3 is that another way to say "I don't care enough about you to bother trying not to offend you if I can avoid it."?

Political correctness.....

Political correctness (adjectivally, politically correct; both forms commonly abbreviated to PC) is a term which denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, religious belief, disability, and age-related context, and doing so to an excessive extent. I'm sorry, I have a hard time finding the evil in the above until you get to the part where it's used as an excuse to be as rude as you like and when someone points out it's possible to disagree without being any more offensive then you need to be, they wrap themselves up in the "Well shucks, I'm just plain folk who don't know nothing about your fancy PC talk, I just call it as I see it!"
tulc(apologizes for the rant, finds people who hide behind "not PC" a little irksome)

"Political Correctness" is a euphemism which translates to "I resent being made to feel guilty for my bigoted opinions."

to quote the above article (maybe this will help some of you understand):

Where does all this stuff that you’ve heard about this morning – the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it – where does it come from? For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think. They have to be afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.

We have seen other countries, particularly in this century, where this has been the case. And we have always regarded them with a mixture of pity, and to be truthful, some amusement, because it has struck us as so strange that people would allow a situation to develop where they would be afraid of what words they used. But we now have this situation in this country. We have it primarily on college campuses, but it is spreading throughout the whole society. Were does it come from? What is it?

We call it “Political Correctness.” The name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip, and we tend still to think of it as only half-serious. In fact, it’s deadly serious. It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world. It is the disease of ideology. PC is not funny. PC is deadly serious.

So let me get this right. Feminism, the Gay Rights movement, the demand that all citizens of the United States be acknowledged as enjoying all of the same civil rights as all of the other citizens of the United States, and the general trend toward bigots having to be ashamed of being bigots, and of bigots having to deal with the fact that their bigotry will have political consequences if they choose to parade their bigotry in the public square...all of that can be laid at the feet of "political correctness"?

Okey dokey then. Count me in! I am so very cool with that I can hardly express myself. Bring it on!
