A salient point, especially considering we haven't seen Bush's birth certificate.

This is one of the reasons why I think that certain people are being disingenuous - repeating stuff shown to be untrue.

You know your party is in trouble when people ask did the rape guy win, and you have to ask which one?

Nope, Grandma Sarah didn't change her statement that she was present for the birth, that was another person in the room [grandson?]

I believe GrandMa.

I believe GrandMa.
She said she was present, meaning at her house where the interview was taking place, while her grandson was born. She said in the same interview that her grandson was born in Hawaii.

She did not say that she went to Mombassa, hundred of miles away, where you claim he was born, did she?

Actually I think she did say it. But English is NOT her first language. I happen to be married to a German, and while my wife rarely makes word choice mistakes they still happen now and then.

Present instead of here is perfectly understandable. That the birthers do not want to understand that shows how desperate they are.

And now a favorite joke!

Some time ago a group of U.S. politicians was on a tour of Russia. They were touring a factory and their guide was gushing about the Soviet where all workers would have a job. Someone asked what whould happen to a worker that simply did not do their job. The guide replied they would be shot. Things went silent and since it was near lunch time the guide took them to the cafeteria and quickly left. Halfway through lunch he burst into the room and shouted.....

Not shot, fired!!!

A very natural mistake, and likely far more understandable than the mistakes I'd make if I tried spearing Russian. Though I'm sure there are birthers who would cling to the oricinal 'shot'.

no, she didn't say it. a birther with a bad translator thought she said it, and reported that she said it after being corrected multiple times.

but that won't stop birthers from lying, since that is the only way they can support what, in the end, is just old fashioned racism.

Source who knows the grandmother, Sarah Obama and has met with her in her home village, declared: "I have keenly and attentively listened to the tape over and over again, and I can confirm from Sarah's own confession that Barack Obama was born in Kenya in her presence."

The source said that while Sarah Obama' voice is hard to hear on the recording, "she admits of actually having been there at his birth."

He said that while the people in the room with Sarah Obama "tried as much as they [could] to change the tone of the whole story … to me it seems someone is coaching her from the background and seemingly trying to guide her on what to say."

The Kenyan government source agreed.

"I have listened to the tape," he said. "The preacher asked whether Barack Obama was born in Mombasa, and the translator asked the same. When she said Mombasa, it was like a surprise, and those there thought she could not have meant to say Mombasa."

The source said that at that point "they began insisting Hawaii was where Barack Obama was born."

Sarah Obama can be heard uttering "Mombasa" in response to McRae's question about where Obama was born.
He or she must be racist, as that seems to be all the answers.

“Now we’ve got this guy, a career officer, highly decorated—an army surgeon, in fact—someone whom we really need to deploy.

He’s got this 'kooky idea' there’s something is amiss on the fact that the majority of evidence available, is pointing to Kenya, and not Hawaii. Plus we have this divided citizenship problem that seems amiss with what the Constitution states in clear language. It would be to our advantage for yourself, Obama, to release a long form REAL birth certificate. It would have spared the fine officer a court martial, and send a message to the troops on the front line that their CIC respects them and their concerns.

“What do you say?”

Obama: “Heck no; let him rot in Leavenworth.
