So like pawns versus pawns... King versus King, etc. Until when the basics of movement is grasped and all pieces can be played on the board.
Either that or you have no chance at winning a game, when she roams her pieces anywhere she wants.

I like the advice of taking on piece type and using it to teach the movement. Shoots and Ladders is more appropriate for 4 year olds, though kudos for trying and I hope you can make some progress. |
