God is great, no probs there! It's more the people that I've ended up connecting with and I've become very unsettled in these friendships. They are not very supportive of what I feel are Godly things and I do not find them helpful in my walk with God but I feel stuck with them. Recently I have simply not reached out like I normally do and havent communicated as much due to being so tired and frankly if i share something important to me I get no encouragement anyway from them. But last night though one of them said something about it being 'bi**hy'??? That hurt because I certainly am not intending it to be coming across like that, I do need to recharge and am trying to distance myself a bit to do that and thats the response She is a new Christian so it's not the swearing that gets me it's the expectation of support always from me and I cant do it. I'm not God. But I do have to go to church with these people. They also have no idea what I have been through with another friend this last week, and I cant tell them due to respecting the other friend. It is so tiring being around the selfishness of these people. Perhaps I am being selfish in expecting more from them than they know how to give?
I'm also about 6 years since God showed up in my life and I wonder if there's some unsettledness there, expectations I had back then have not happened and while God has been very good to me during those years they have not been easy and there have been many failures and they take their toll too.
Perhaps I am weary. Does anyone have any advice on what might help all this? I feel like I just need to get away from it all before I say or do something I will really regret.

You will always find this sort of treatment when you are trying to live your life for Jesus. It is really a compliment because it means the enemy cannot get a foothold in your life. Sooner or later you will get to the point that you only want to please God and never mind what other people think because no matter what you think, there is always someone there to try to throw a road bump in your path.
I just ask my husband this morning if he felt like we are an island alone in our neighborhood and he said yes, so it was not just my thinking. I am among neighbors that never and I mean never talk about God. I am made fun of all the time because I like to help my neighbors and volunteer at the hospital - all the neighbors around me have money and I don't fit in with any of them.
Just retreat a little to where you can think clearly and see which way God would have you go, again He may be moving you out to where you can touch the people He wants you to touch. Just don't get discouraged - Jesus was perfect and always made fun ot.

It's not a very nice thing to say, but some people in churches are indeed spiritual vampires. They will suck you dry, keep take take taking, never giving. In my experience there is nothing you can do to help them! In the end they will drain you of your spiritual life's blood.
There are three people who I used to fellowship with that I try my best to keep away from, they always ask me for money, giving a false reason for their need, they're better off than me financially. Without fail everytime I see them they ask me for large sums of money and follow me until they get it.
Jesus said to be as wise as a serpent but as harmless as a dove. Sometimes wisdom says to avoid unhelpful company. You know what the bible says about bad company.

Always associate yourself with more than one church. Spiritual growth is not contained to just what you receive in one building.

My relationship with Jesus is greater than your claims of antiquity.

They are draining, at times yes I have felt they've nearly sucked me dry but they are part of church life. interesting comment about keeping in step with God not the body - good to keep in mind
God bless
