FOXNews.com - Administration's Muddled Response on Mosque Creates New Election Year Debate
It is such a shame that these "muslims" are allowed to even be AMERICANS! I mean, sheesh! Where are our "values"? This is a CHRISTIAN NATION or so I've heard repeatedly!

We have many who want to enforce laws mandating what a woman can do with her own body based on The Laws of the Judeo Christian God, and we have groups who want a portion of the text of This Judeo-Christian God's Holy Book Engraved on our courthouses!

Considering that Obama was talking at a dinner that honors a muslim holiday that was first done by Thomas Jefferson I have to wonder how far our country has fallen.

First we allow Muslims to be americans, next we allow them to worship freely within "their own country". What's next?

Think about these monsters when we are attempting to justify denying their religion access to the same country as us:

Salman Hamdani. Devout Muslim. 23 years old. NY City Police Cadet and part-time ambulance driver. He apparently died trying save people near the North Tower on 9/11. His body, when it was found had his EMT bag with it.

Baraheen Ashrafi. MUSLIM. 9 months pregnant. Her husband (another MUSLIM) was a waiter in the restaurant on the top of Tower One.

HERE's a short list of innocent Muslims who died in 9/11.

And here's an interesting thing to think about from the words of this so-called "Christian" nation's favorite Holy Book:

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

"President Obama is wrong," King said. "It is insensitive and uncaring for the Muslim community to build a mosque in the shadow of Ground Zero.
"The right and moral thing for President Obama to have done was to urge Muslim leaders to respect the families of those who died and move their mosque away from Ground Zero."
Newt Gingrich, a Republican and former House speaker, also condemned the president's comments.
Gingrich said the proposed mosque and community center would be a symbol of Muslim "triumphalism" and building it near the site of the 2001 attack "would be like putting a Nazi sign next to the Holocaust museum."

Of course America defends fundamental rights and this is important. But, are there not other factors involved here? Does this not question the motives of those who want this built? What about the funding for this mosque?

It's rather puzzling when this Islamic leader is so persistent with this construction when so many American lives, due to Islamic extremists, were killed just two blocks away.

Insulting and insensitive.

Furthermore, did not the Mosque leader state that America was somewhat involved with the attacks on 9/11?

The only thing insulting and insensitive here is punishing peaceful American Muslims for the crimes of a radical sect (i.e. turning American Muslims into a scapegoat). That is the only insulting thing going on here.

Germany just said no to a mosque:

BERLIN The authorities in Hamburg said Monday that they had shut down the mosque where several of the hijackers involved in the Sept. 11 attacks had met, asserting that it remained a source of radicalization nearly a decade later . . .

Yes, because it was associated with the 9/11 hijackers.

If anyone has evidence that the party that wishes to build the NYC mosque is in any way affiliated with terrorism, let him or her present it to a grand jury and let the matter be taken up and investigated.

In the absence of such evidence, I am forced to conclude that the building of the mosque and community center is a peaceful expression of religion and free association, and therefore is protected under the First Amendment.

Gates of Vienna: Dutch Government Denies Funding Ground Zero Mosque

The Iranian connection.
Merely being photographed in the same room as someone does not establish a financial or other connection.

Now if you can provide hard evidence that the Iranian government is providing material support to the mosque builders, that I think is germane and ought to be investigated. But a mere photograph does not establish that causal link.

Good and valid point.

Let me ask you a couple of questions: how much time do you spend investigating every news item seen or read? How many sources are needed to convince you? Do you give more weight to some sources than others, e.g. network news or Internet news; liberal sources versus conservative sources; Fox News, MSNBC or CNN, etc.
