TAMPA - Shannon Hayes is no prude, but when she saw the young teens at the beach acting out, one thought went through her head:
"If they had a few Scriptures to help lead them, maybe they wouldn't act that way."
On that day, a seed was planted in Hayes' mind, something she couldn't shake.

"We hear so much about Christians walking the walk," she says. "So if you had a little reminder on your shoes, that could be a gentle nudge to stay in the word."
I never wear flip flops, but if I did I'd grab these in a jiffy! I know wearing Christian attire is only symbolic, but I like to be reminded by looking at them myself; these would be a great thing to carry around walking barefoot on the beach.

The original link doesn't work anymore but this is her site. I think it would make a more profound statement if the sole doubled as a "stamp" so when you walked you could actually read it in the sand.

Thought this might fit on this thread: I picked up a few pairs of socks from my local Roses (for about a dollar a pair) that have messages on them like "Jesus [heart]s you" and "walk with Jesus" as well as a black pair with an intense cross symbol on the sides. I just found them adorable, and a great bargain! I love my town.
You know, since we're on the subject of inspirational footwear.
