Christianity and World ReligionChristianity and World Religion forum gives Christians and non-Christians the opportunity to come together to better understand and learn about different religions.
I have also read that ALL muslims, except the ones who have died in jihad, will have to face hell for a certain while

As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows, either he will burn your clothes, or you will get an offensive smell from him.” ~ Muhammad (pbuh)
just from my memory as i have no time to look anything up...
hadith (you look up)... 70,000 of my nation (everyone prophet Muhammad was sent to- all people till Day of Resurrection) will enter paradise without being held to account or any punishment... with each of them another 70,000... and three hathiyyaat of my Lord... hathiyyah is 'handful' or when you scoop something up with your hand...
notes: 70,000 doesn't necessarily mean that exact number... just means A LOT... multiples of seven are used in the Arabic language to denote quantity. (Like, we would say, if I've told you once I've told you a hundred times, but we don't really mean 100). three hand scoops of God also indicates LOTS of people
question is.. who are these people... that's the important part, so we can be amongst them.. hadith goes on to say that these will be the people that avoid superstition and have FULL trust in and reliance on God, rather than any means.
One of my favorite ahadith.. a hadith qudsi.. where prophet muhammad uses his own words to relay something God said:
'I will meet the good expectations of my servant'... if you truly expect good from God, He will never let you down. I used to hang that hadith up in my classroom when I was a school teacher... It keeps a person SO POSITIVE... I always try my best to never let things ruin my mood.. to always expect that the best will happen. Alhamdulillaah, everything always works out well.
Doesn't mean we shouldn't take precautions... there's also the hadith about the bedouin that didn't tie his camel.. and when the prophet asked him why not, he said.. oh, I trust that God will keep it safe for me... the Prophet said, 'Tie your camel, and put your trust in God.' This applies for matters of this world, and the next. We have to do our part... do our best... and then put our full trust in God.
I'm sure you've heard this before Creed... the analogy Ibn Al-Qayyim gave to the heart of a believer... he said the heart is like a bird... the head (driving force) is LOVE and the two wings are HOPE and FEAR.
And God knows best.
P.S. Someone asked about Jesus's return.. I don't want to talk about something that I haven't studied in detail without research.. and no time for research right now.. I will leave that for someone else to talk about, in shaa' Allaah.

Here's what your book of faith states regarding Jesus' return...
Jesus Knows the Hour
Twice, in sura 43, Jesus Christ (i.e. the Son), is accurately described as possessing knowledge of The Resurrection…
Walammaduriba ibnu maryama mathalan itha qawmuka minhu yasiddoona waqaloo aalihatuna khayrun am huwa madaraboohu laka illa jadalan bal hum qawmun khasimoona in huwa illa AAabdun anAAamna AAalayhi wajaAAalnahu mathalan libanee isra-eela walaw nashao lajaAAalna minkum mala-ikatan fee al-ardi yakhlufoona wa-innahu laAAilmun lilssaAAati fala tamtarunna biha waittabiAAooni hathasiratun mustaqeemun
Andonly Mary's Son,held up (as) a signonyour nation, from Himthey start raising clamor. Andthey said:"Are our godsbetteror He?”That they set Him forthto youexceptdisputation, butthey, anation(of) contentious people.Indeed Heexcepta slave;we have bestowed blessingson Him,and we made Hima signtoIsrael’ssons. Andifwe will, truly we madefrom yourangelsupon the earth, they succeed. And truly He(has)knowledgetoThe Resurrection,so have no doubton account of it, and follow Me, this exact right path. (43.57 – 61)
Here, only Jesus Christ is described as being a sign to the people.
Jesus is stated to be an exception (i.e. in a class all by Himself, via “illa”) both to the disputing people, and also as a mere slave.
Jesus is shown to be in deity status as He is compared against the people’s gods. Further, Jesus is stated to have angels upon the earth, and that He possesses indisputable knowledge regarding the Resurrection.
Say: "Indeedon account ofthe most mercifulSon, soI myselfthe worshippers'first.”Glory be to the heavensand the earth’s Lord, the throne's Lord, from whatthey ascribe. So leavethem alone; they indulgedand they jestuntilthey meettheir daywhomthey were threatened. And He, whom uponthe cloud,God,and upon the earth,God,and He,the wise, the one who knows. Andexaltedwhomcertainly His, King (of)the heavensand the earthand whatisbetween themandwith Himis the knowledge of the Resurrection, and to Himyou are taken back.Andhas no power to prevailwhomthey callfromsuperior to Him, The Intercession, exceptHe;He bore witnesson account ofThe Truthandthem, they know. (43.81- 86)
Again, sura 43 proclaims that the Son (i.e. Jesus Christ) possesses knowledge of the Resurrection (AAilmu alssaAAati).
Jesus Christ, the subject of these ayahs, also has these things revealed about Him:
Jesus is worshiped as the Most Merciful
Jesus is Lord of the heavens and earth
Jesus is King of the heavens and earth
Jesus is Lord of the Throne
Jesus is God upon the Cloud
Jesus is God upon the Earth
Jesus is The Intercession
Jesus is The Witness
Jesus is The Truth
None are superior to Him
Jesus takes back those who are His on the Day of Resurrection
Not surprisingly, these ayahs are proclaiming Jesus’ return on a Cloud, on the Day of the First Resurrection, just as found in Revelation chapter fourteen.
I don't believe in the fire torment pit of hell. I believe that "hell" is the darkness outside of heaven where the evil souls are because they can't get into heaven, and because they are evil they torment eachother. But, not a pit of fire. I just don't believe that God would create such a place and then threaten to send people there to roast forever. O course, I could be wrong, it's just my own opinion.
What do you think?
Not many differences. The Qruan explicitly states that there will be corporeal fire which will burn away at the skin and organs. However it gets more descriptive than the bible. Such as damaged skin and sinews being replaced with news ones after they are burnt. The drinking of boiling water which will consume their insides. Being incased in a "pillar" and blanket of fire. And the eating from an accursed tree.
I also remember reading about a bridge believers and non-believers will have to walk through, which the non-believers will slip and fall to hell while the believers will be able to stay on the bridge.
