Double Prophecy

I am posting this thread here, as I supposed that it was closer to "dreams and visions" than it was to the "testimonies" sub-forum, and "Prophetic Ministry" seemed to be more managerial in nature.

I declined to share this experience here for some time, and in fact I have shared it nowhere else, except for a small C.M.A. sub-forum at a biker's site that I frequent. Now, though, I feel more liberty to divulge what happened, especially when the following scripture is taken into consideration:

"Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops." Matthew 10:27


I am supposing that I wasn't the only person on planet Earth that was forewarned of this, but I knew about both the Haitian and Chilean earthquakes before they happened. About a month or so before the terrible earthquake that practically demolished Port au Prince, Haiti hit, the Lord took the initiative to lay upon my heart a powerful and sure conviction that a terrible earthquake was going to strike somewhere in the world soon. I hadn't the slightest idea that this would come to me, but so firm was my assurance of it that I shared it with my wife, (a good Christian,) who predictably though, slighted it off with a passing "Hummph!" I didn't take this burden lightly though, as I had already seen such "burdens of the Lord" come to pass before, so I only waited grimly, knowing full well that it would surely "come to pass". About a month or so after I shared this with my wife, all of Port au Prince came tumbling down and my faithful, (but weak in the faith,) wife quickly changed from a casual state of disregard to a more sober, silent and serious mood. I did not receive this forewarning with the slightest degree delight, and have no desire at all to know about pending, disasterous global judgments sent to us or at least allowed for by God...especially judgments that involve children. I thought, (at this point,) that the matter was closed, except that it wasn't.

Not long after this "prophecy" was granted me by the Lord, the same identical, griping conviction once again fell upon me, that yet another major world earthquake would soon stike somewhere upon our globe, I knew not where. As in the former experience, I shared this with my wife, who now received the second dire testimony with a very serious and slightly downcast spirit, and I didn't blame her. I only sat down, (as it were,) waited, and prayed about this, knowing for certain that a lot of people would likely soon die, and I was absolutely helpless to forestall it, that option being blocked to me by the Lord. It was about 3 weeks after this that Chile was devasted by their major earthquake.

The pattern is beginning to fill in rapidly brethren: God Almighty is growing weary, as it were, (not out of deficiency, but out of appointment and sovereign determination,) with our wicked, lawless and godless world, and He aims to stop it all soon. The good/bad news in all of this is, that we must consider any judgments that we receive in time, (no matter how severe,) as yet still having some "good" mixed in them, in that they warn us of judgments far, far worse and permanent, awaiting the impenitant beyond the shadowy and gloomy grave of the godless. Any fire that God hurls down upon us in time is, (in fact,) a mercy when compared with the fire that lay in eternity. It is that bad for the wicked beyond their Christless graves, and you can count upon it. The bad news in this is, that if these global forewarnings sent to us in the displeasure of God can be considered partial and merciful warnings, then what is His unmerciful, full and unmitigated judgments like in hell itself? The whole Christless, rebellious and spiritually oblivious world had best repent soon, although the Book of Revelations or the Apocalypse of John tells again and again, "Men repented not". We must make certain that we will be found among the exceptions to this last days prediction, and not among those who walk by the prevailing rule of the world, as the narrow gate and the restricted way are and have always been the unpopular but preferred pathway of the finally blessed.

You should consider posting such things here. Another poster had posted about these earthquakes some six or so months in advance. This can help people believe.

It can be very hard to know something in advance to be sure enough to go out on a limb and say something about it. Or do something about it.


Believe me, when one accurately predicts a major event like these, even foggily, it makes a huge impact.

As earthquakes do happen routinely, it can be difficult to prove what is from God or not. Especially to skeptics who would point that out.

I feel I should add this as I've discussed it some with the OP, but 10 days ago the Lord showed me the west coast may receive a quake. It was Mexico that did, but now it is believed CA is next in line for a ground shaking event so that would follow along with what was heard.

Now last nite the Lord seems to be impressing water and the seas on my heart as He lead me to Psalm 93. Once again I believe this may be we will see a raging sea along with the earthquakes.

I tend to not say things about the future, because people already know. I also do not trust them because they already know the truth, but refuse to admit it.

If I can not trust them on admitting what they already know to be true, how have they shown they can be trusted with such things as "what will happen in the future". It is like in government. They are found to be untrustworthy, so they are kept in the dark.

Or if they can not handle that truth which they already know but refuse to admit to themselves, how can they handle even more truth? They have to first figure out what they already know to be true, then they can handle more truth.

Another note on this:

I am currently reading about the Manhattan Project. I see this as one reason for natural disasters. Like how the Allies ended the war with Japan by using the atomic bomb, God gives disasters hoping people will change. And there is the case of threatening disasters by prophets to force change, ie, Jonah, and so on.

One interesting issue is "did the bomb have to be dropped" to end the war with Japan.

A side issue is the scientists were okay with this "drop the bomb" scenario as long as they thought it would be used against Germany. And as long as they thought Germany might have had a chance to beat them to it.

So they thought they were racing against Germany while making it.

A secondary note here is: I have read of the atrocities of Japan. They clearly did not. They thought they were being humanitarians. But they were showing their prejudice by being ignorant of what Japan had been doing.

Likewise, people tend to be ignorant of the problems really going on in the world.


On dropping the bomb:

One consideration was that it was felt if the bomb was not dropped, or if it was simply "shown" that it might be thought to have been faked... or that they might not think anyone would dare actually use such a thing.


Likewise considerations ensued in continuing development of the bomb: making more, making them easier to deliver, and so on.


Ultimately, these hard decisions fell down to not so much as "bluffing", but to showing seriousness of the effective bluff of having such capabilities. Endless debate could ensue from there. In the end, however, these are hard decisions.

I do not think Haiti was anymore evil then any other place. We know from the gospels - Jesus - not to think this way.


So, what is wrong with the world today? And how can change be enacted? If God is trying to get people to change, then we better believe one thing: He will meet His objectives.

i have been feeling so empty for the past couple years....i have recently accepted god as my savior ( raised in a god fearing home). i have had very wierd feelings and i could not explain what was the cause. Then i went through a hard legal issue and god started showing me what i could lose....i wrecked my car...struggle with my Girlfriend ( now fiance) and seemed to almost lose my job..my father and my family came to visit me and we had a very productive weekend.....long story short... i know christs second comming is soon...i discern this!! god is already working in me to bring people to christ.. i am very excited to know that this is happening. i came across this post and figured i would share this with you guys...At these last days many people will come to christ. i am so happy to know i am doing HIS will.....sorry for the long post....but i needed to share with my fellow brothers and sisters... p.s. my father also had visions of earthquakes and terror attacks for years....starting before 9/11. i couldnt tell you how in depth these visions came.... god bless you all...

What is sick is that there are usually people or dark spirits behind bad things which happen to us. They sometimes justify their evil actions against believers, saying, "Oh well, prophet, tell us who hit you" kind of mentality. Like a scene from Count of Monte Christo I watched last night. The person said, "I will stop whipping you when God shows up", and proceeding to whip the man who would later be the Count of Monte Christo.

Some say this, they really believe it. They think, "No one sees me" and if they do, they look to get group consensus for their delusion that justifies their wicked behavior... as if that kind of umbrella can protect them from God.

But, it is all a trap because they are evil.

Likewise, you can tell them this. You can sit there and warn them. You can say, "No. Stop. Really. Bad direction. Turn around."

But, it does not matter. They continue until the bad things happen.

They are motivated beyond their own understanding.

Like Pharaoh, which was really ingenious of how God raised him up, gave him so much power, only to bring him down to show God's power through him.

Really fascinating story people tend to not think about.

Talk about a mountain being thrown into the sea. Pharaoh and his army. One might even think that was what Jesus was talking about. Besides, of course, his basic premise... *sniff*... from Zechariah, and whatever the verse there meant.

But what is interesting about Pharaoh, which we continue to see today... is the work of Jannes and Jambres. What did they do? They duplicated the plagues using their own cunning and deception, for what purpose? It only increased the plagues.

No one was thinking.

Their work helped inure Pharaoh to the danger he was facing.

He ended up showing how people are, in general. They can see, believe, but they quickly turn around and forget. Their faith is not sustained.

This should not need to be said... but this puts them at a horrendous disadvantage.


It reminds me of this story about a detective and a criminal who match wits with each other. The detective keeps to the evidence, as does the criminal. But everyone else around them forgets. So, the power play between the two remains fascinating.

But, in the end, the foul motives of the criminal, of course, become his undoing.

In RL, people do not sustain faith. They live in their own delusional worlds, often supplanted by the consensus of others. The consensual delusion. The societal delusion. It is such as the landscape of factions anywhere. This does not make it true, but compelling, yes.
