How the mind wanders!

Something funny came to mind. I was reading Leviticus 9:7 - 8
WB "7 And Moses said to Aaron, Go to the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded. 8 Aaron therefore went to the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself. "

So all the host of people have brought their offerings to the temple for Aaron and the rest of the priest to begin their work. Now I was thinking, could you imagine what Aaron was thinking right then? Here is all of Israel behind him, and he was to go up to his altar that they put together by Gods instructions, he was to offer a sin offering for himself, and then to present offerings for the atonement of Israel as a whole. So, I'm thinking here, oh man, I'd prob by sweating like nuts I'd be so nervous! haha I wonder if he rehearsed in his tent before he went out and did it?

Such weird things you think of while reading the good Book huh? Anybody else have any? Or am I the only loony one around here?

Yes, you're the only weird one.

No, sorry, just teasing

There are a LOT of weirder people out there than you and me!

I agree there are some very surprising things in the Bible, and the human side of great characters is very helpful when I find things tough or mess up - I know they did too, yet God still loved and used them!

Blessings, Susana

I always felt sorry for the priests when they had to shave...
Lev 14:8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
after 3 days that had to itch like crazy!!

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (Act 17:11 KJV)
In other words; don't believe anything you are told, without searching the scriptures daily... yourself.
