I have about 15 versions of the Bible on e-Sword, but the ESV is usually my second choice. I grew up reading the NIV, so I'm most comfortable with that.
You can read about the ESV, and find links here: English Standard Version - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

NASB and KJV, which I still use. The ESV was a great addition.

Thanks.
I'm told NASB is the king though

this is the very thing that worries me about all translations... they start off with a theological position held by the translators and then, knowingly or ignorantly allow that to colour the way they translate, the words they use, the idiomatic expressions (if at all), the words they insert (the KJV/NKJV uses italics to highlight words not in the greek, the ESV does not uses any highlighting method).
the more I go on, the more I am convinced that the best bibles for study are interlinears with parsing tags, or real literal versions like Young's Literal Version, though he tortures the English language at times to bring out the verb tenses in the Greek.
