Receiving the spirit of God is a miracle, it's a gift given to those that have been allowed to see their lost condition and they cry out to the Lord: Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. |

I looked at the these verses and I understand what they say, we are supposed to have faith that God knows what he is doing and that everything works out. But still it doesn't answer a question that still bugs me. How is it fair? How can God allow people to suffer while others live good lives? Does God give the ones who suffer a special reward that everyone else does not get? |

Man deserves nothing, but through Christ gains everything. John 16:32-34 (Holman Christian Standard Bible) 32 Look: An hour is coming, and has come, ( A) when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. ( B) 33 I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world."
Take another look at this passage.
There is nothing wrong with suffering in this world if it's for God's purpose that we suffer. This world has been overcome, the child of God has already won the victory and will live eternally with Jesus.
All but one of those hand picked by Jesus to walk with Him on His ministry died a terrible death by our standards of fairness. But not one of them would have picked a different outcome. Why? Because they were walking with the ONE that overcame the world.
Why do bad thingss happen to good people? Apart from Jesus there are no good people. (Romans 3:23). And those that are His followers have already recieved the greatest of all rewards, life.
