Native American Clothing, Regalia and Special Items
I'm asking for more selection of Native American/Indigenous clothing. Like for example, a selection of various beadwork, medicine pouches and mocassins. I'm also asking for a buffalo to be added.
Here are a few examples of the clothing and other items I'm asking for:
Clothing:
Medicine Pouches:
Mocassins:
And even these:
Beadwork:
Hair Ornaments:
I hope these examples are helpful. I would like to finish with this. The headdress, in my opinion, is not appropriate. I say this because of the stereotypical portrayals of American Indians. Books, television programs, movies, and toys tend to depict Native Americans as oversimplified feather-wearing characters. Inaccurate and often offensive representations of American Indians are deeply rooted in the American consciousness. One of the most popular misconceptions about my race is that we are all the same - one group of people who look alike, speak the same language, and share the same customs and history. But nothing could be further from the truth. As an American Indian, I face this enough in the real world, therefore, I wish to avoid all of it here. Historically, eagle feathers were worn only by certain members of the Plains cultural groups who had distinguished themselves as worthy of such adornment. Feathered headdresses were not worn as everyday clothing, but rather for special ceremonial occasions. I would appreciate the headdress being removed.
If I think of anything else, I will add it later. Thank you for listening.
Those are beautiful Ani i would love to put them on to my dollie sometime

Yes, that is a Cherokee Tear Dress. Though not historically accurate, it was put together in the 70's (I believe that's correct) by women in the tribe.

Yes and no. There is a pattern that uses ribbons, as shown, but it is inaccurate for just that reason. However, you can modify it if you are a purist or around pow-wows where some may be a bit critical. I'm currently borrowing it from a native brother that is trying to establish a heritage group in our area.
