Catholics welcomed?

take a look at the "differences between christians and catholics' thread (a thread that from its inception has been anti-Catholic, but none of the moderators here have lifted a finger to stop it) in the Interfaith forum.

I hope all the Catholics on this board see that it is okay for GEL, mgc and ed to (in roundabout ways) call us idolaters. But it is not okay for anyone to in return point out ed's idolatry of the King James version of the Bible. Take a good hard look at the fact that ed is allowed to post the Boettner list, one of the most disgusting pieces of anti-Catholic fiction in the last century, and none of the moderators take him to task for it.

But any post responding to him in kind is quickly pulled by biased moderators.

Look at all that and then ponder whether or not this board is somewhere Catholics should be.

Hi,

We go OUT OF OUR WAY to make sure that no Christians or their denominations gets attacked here on our forums.

We don't care if the member is Catholic or Protestant. Believe me, we have been so much against anti-Catholic posts that I have been accused of being too pro-Catholic. Now you say we are anti-Catholic again. What is going on???

It seems you can't win when it comes to sectarian issues. I hope everyone realises that this forum is neither Catholic nor Protestant.

Realise too that the Interfaith Forum has 2 Catholic moderators (KC Catholic and ZooMom) - please PM them or report a post if you feel it is too "anti-Catholic".

Just the other day this forum was accused of being "anti-Protestant". Now it's "anti-Catholic".

Let me make this clear - this forum is "pro-Christian". As for individual posts or threads, feel free to report them to the moderators of the forum.

I did not make this forum site for a single denomination or group of Christians - it is for all Christians - that is why I placed the site vision at the top of every page so that people would see this.

Any place that lets people post lies that Catholics worship Mary, or start threads that flat out question whether Catholicism is even Christian, most certainly has an anti-Catholic tint to it.

To answer your question, all Catholics are welcome here. So are all Protestants, Orthodox Christians, non-denominational Christians, even non-believers who are seeking truth and all other peoples.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

So are you.

The Interfaith Discussion is for the debate of this very issues. As this site is opened to all Christians, discussion regarding doctrinal issues are to be expected.

We cannot start removing posts by people just because they have want to discuss these doctrinal differences.

Oh, so now it's open to "opinion" whether Catholics are idol worshippers and Maryolators? Yes, I see how warm your embrace of Catholics truly is.

Next you gonna invite Jack T. Chick to post here?

Btw, our site, as I have STATED ON EVERY PAGE, is not anti-Catholic or anti-Protestant.

I cannot stop members from being either though. Should I ban members for having an opinion? Of course not. As long as they keep within our 7 rules, they can keep posting. But if you feel they have broken a rule, REPORT them, and the staff (there are 32 of us) will investigate.

Yet you allow virulently anti-Catholic posts. How contradictory of you.

Either allow anti-Catholic posts and drop the charade of decency, or don't allow them. You're trying to split the middle. The middle never holds.

I did not say those things. A member obviously did.

Don't accuse me for not embracing Catholics. I own this site, I run it, I program it, but I do not look at the posts - this is why I have a staff.

If you don't like it, REPORT the post. Don't complain about it here.

I don't know who Jack T. Chick is, so why are you predicting that I would invite him to post here?
