What are the simulatities and differences between the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs. Maybe in your answer if you can make a heading in bold with either "they are simular" or "they are differant" so that I know which you are talking about thank you.

They were written mostly by father, King David, and son, King Solomon.
Psalms is poetry, meant to sing praises to God; or laments, asking for God's help. They are directed either to God, or to man admonishing that we praise God. They are always about God. They were meant to be sung.
The Proverbs are arranged mostly in couplets. They are directed at man, teaching the wisdom of God.
Off the top of my head, that's all I can think of.

That's a pretty interesting question ... just going to wing it
The first thing I'd say they're alike in is they both speak to the contrast in moral and ethical behavior ... they're different in Psalms is shown in the example of the praise and crying out and Proverbs is more like a set of rules ... if memory serves me the first verses of Proverbs tells us it's to strengthen our wisdom.
They are different in you will find prophecy in Psalms ... I'm not aware there is any in Proverbs (better make sure)
Psalms has multi agendas where Proverbs is basically to give wisdom
They're alike in that they're both God inspired and both lead, guide and direct our paths ...
Psalms is our example of worship ... Proverbs our example of wisdom
okay I'm out of stuff ... I'll keep thinking
