yeah, thats clear from the parable of the sower. The seed is the message. A kid can be sowing it or an adult, it doesn't matter. If it falls on the right soil it will grow and yield fruit. The power is in the seed.

Paul didn't have a problem with this kind of expression. We too often think verbs always mean to describe cause and effect. It's not the case.
