Hey there, interesting question. This is more for how-to on the forums though. Your question may be better posed in Christian Advice, it would get more responses.

"You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." - Psalm 30:10-12
Man is made in God's likeness in that we are spiritual beings.

"I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill." Psalm 3:4
"The virtuous man is never a novice in worldly things." Marcus Valerius Martialis
Man is composed of body, soul, and spirit (not unlike a trinity) and is a spiritual being, unlike other living beings.
Man doesn't possess a soul. The soul is the product of the sum of the body and the spirit or breath of life. Man doesn't possess a soul, rather man is a soul. The idea of a seperate soul crept into the church during the hellenization period, it comes from greek mythology.
Gen 2:7 And Jehovah God formed the man out of dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
How is man made in the image of God, his likeness?
The text explicitly tells us:
Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make
humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.” 1:27 God created humankind in his own image,
For the author of Genesis 1, being created in God's image means that man rules, almost as a sort of vice regent for God, and has dominion over the created order.

Not believed in by the Apostles nor taught by them to their disciples, and we do have their writings.

Often claimed, but always wrong.

1. No such being called "Jehovah" unless you want to go into FF VII and respell it.
2. This has to do with the bestowal of the spirit. Of all living things, only modern humanity possesses a spirit.
And the fact that only humanity has a spirit means that we are in the image and likeness of God.

For You are the Lord Most High, of great compassion, long-suffering, and very merciful, and You relent at human suffering. O Lord, according to Your great goodness You have promised repentance and forgiveness to those who have sinned against You, and in the multitude of Your mercies You have appointed repentance for sinners so that they may be saved.
