So after about 3000 years or so, God decided that it was time for new scripture, and make up totally new doctrine called the book of Mormon, which is 180 degrees to the contrary of what He had originally written? And no one thinks that's just a little bit, well, stupid? Are LDS really this gullible?
Have you read the Book of Mormon? It always helps if you're familiar with what you are talking about. And suggesting that people are stupid and gullible isn't very nice. If you were a missionary to a tribe in Africa or some other place, would you just barge in telling the people how stupid they are?
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to
grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ," (Ephesians 4:15)
If we love one another and love our enemies, how are we to treat others?
“But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God” (1 Thessalonians 2:7-9).
but but most of the BoM was not translated in that manner.
Actually, all of what is now the Book of Mormon was translated by the face in the hat method. The interpreters were only supposedly used for the first (lost) 116 pages. When the pages were lost, God chastised JS and told him to find his own way of interpreting. That is when the stone in the hat and hat on the face method came about.

You continue to assert I'm posting false data, but the only thing you use in retort is your opinion ...there's a reason for that, and that's because I'm stating the truth while you cannot post any sort of relevant data to counter it. Joseph Smith was a false prophet of God IMO, and if you could, you would use factual information ...you can't and we know it, which is why you don't, and continue to assert the facts are "evil" against the LDS church; it's just the truth.
Why do you say that I made such an assertion, because I recommended you as a source of information for people who are like-minded to yourself?

More tap dancing to allude you have a point to make. The sources I use are very factual (with references), and if you have data to support they aren't factual, you'd post it. You don't, we know you don't, or you would. You can't, because you believe in a myth ...myths don't have facts to support them. Whatever you disagree with, please enlighten us to what, or stop making false claims that the factual data is somehow not factual just because the Mormon "approved" whitewashed websites claims it's not. Without data, it's just another opinion.

Thews Thews Thews Thews Thews. Now look what you've gone and done. After I went and recommended you to give that poster a home to find the best in anti-Mormon literature out there, you go and, how can I say this in such a way as to not offend the oh so tenuous Christian Forum rules for Mormons, (delete delete delete) state things that are not only faulty, but untrue and do it a number of times. Now if I'm going to recommend you, you need to not do things like that.
Let me show you what I'm talking about. No matter what evidence I had, I wouldn't post it because it would be a total waste of time. Review this conversation and you will see that I made no assertions that factual data was not factual; now that would just be a silly thing to do, wouldn't it? Now the thing I'm really interested in is where are these Mormon approved sites? Is there a Mormon acceptable websites good housekeeping seal of approval list somewhere, and, if so, I would really like to see where they say that factual information is not factual.

Everybody's talking about being nice lately, so I'm trying to be nice, and what I say is totally ignored and I'm being told I said things I didn't say, and still I think I was real nice. I guess I'm just lucky I didn't put a smiley face.

C) Joseph SMith was in the process of revising the bible to include himself, but he was killed before it was finished. Regardless, the LDS church uses the JST (Joseph Smith Translation) which includes this prophecy in hindsight:
Actually, JS said he had finished revising the Bible. The LDS church uses the KJV with the JST notes footnoted in the bottom of it. The RLDS uses the Inspired Version which has the JST notes incorporated into the body of the text.

So, you are posting against using opinion as a retort, and then use opinion (IMO = In My Opinion) to prove your point, instead of factual information. Based on what you posted above, that means you're responding to something that is true and cannot post any sort of relevant data to counter it.
