Please point to where I have stated anything about Pres. Bush wiping his "bum" with anything. A link would be appreciated.
I doubt you will find it, but I have been known to post after having a few, so it could have happened.
In any event, "ill-founded" is, in the world of law, not a good thing to say about an argument.
Would you happen to be licensed to practice anywhere?
I didn't claim you to have said that. But when this came out about Bush, it was a popular phrase used around here. I commend the few dems and independents who have condemned this, but when Bush did this, the topic reached several pages within the course of a day with most of the people condemning it.
So far, have this topic is Ringo complaining about being called out on his crap, and people taking issue with my charge of a biased media.
So far, this topic is only proving me right in my assertion that most of the Obamatrons around here are blindly partisan and would most likely still be praising Obama even after witnessing him deep fry a live puppy.
You have no party or political affiliation marked, so you really bring it on yourself.
And tell me, how am I a hypocrite?
lol I bring it on myself to be identified as a Democrat when likening Republicans and Democrats. Strange logic. I take that bake you are not a hypocrite you are just intellectually inept.

When was this? Your join date is earlier this year.
And more to the point, why is it no one of this forum, or any dem or liberal I have seen, or even any media outlet except for a local am car show host from whom I learned of this this morning, has mentioned this when they were so eager to slam Bush for it only months ago?

Don't really have the time to go searching through every various news source. But no, I haven't heard of it on the few of those I check out.
Which leads us back to... You personally haven't seen it, therefore it hasn't happened. Clearly many media outlets, other than the am radio host, reported on it.
Fair enough. I never meant to say that didn't report it, just that I hadn't seen them report it.
You're not going to see progressive or liberals reporting something if you never listen to them. No matter how many times Michael Savage tries to repeat the meme that Democrats are marching lockstep behind Obama like some kind of borg collective, it just ain't happening. Listen to Air America for five seconds; read some progressive blogs. I don't have a TV (and as such see no news programming) and rarely listen to the radio, but the last time I tuned into Air America, the host spent the entire show ripping Obama a new one over issues just like those you brought up. I can't tell you if they've discussed this issue since it came up as I very rarely listen to them.
If anything, there's a huge amount of tension within the Democratic Party right now. That's the downside to being the party with a big tent, but if you Republicans ever want to win a national election again, you're going to have to understand that continually purging your party of moderates ain't gonna help your cause. Being a Democrat over here in California, there's been a huge amount of discussion locally over the healthcare reform bill and how it is impeding California's intent to pass a single-payer healthcare bill here. We've already passed it in the state legislature a couple times only to have Guv Arnie veto it - but come 2010 and a new Governor (probably Jerry Brown), we're gonna get it signed at the Governor's desk.
That's a fairly local issue, but it illustrates one example I'm very familiar with where Democrats have been holding Obama's feet to the fire because he's not doing what we voted him into office to do (instead he's trying to placate Republicans in the name of bipartisanship).
*If you think these issues are a reason for me to stop supporting Obama and what he's done so far and continues to push for in his Presidency... good luck. Simply because we haven't got everything we asked for is no reason to pretend that we aren't moving in the right direction.

That was my point all along: you were ready to condemn liberals when you didn't have all the facts.

Hey, Nancy should know about that single-payer system and be willing to wait for the day when it happens. I'll allow you Californians to test that out and tell me how much further in debt your state becomes after a few years. If that doesn't happen and the state saves money and provides equal, or better service, then I'd be willing to throw my support behind a national health care system.
