Contained within the Christian Forums Rules / Terms of Service Congregation Forums Forum members who are not a member of that denomination may not debate in that denomination's area. Questions and fellowship are allowed, proselytizing is not. And I don't see anyone doing anything about this. I don't go into their congregation to put forth my beliefs and I expect the same from anyone not a Messianic to not come into the MJ forum and promote their belief with statements. I understand that questions can be asked but if I want to ask a question about someones belief I can post a question but can't make statements.

I see at least one person using their past relationship to the effect of proselytizing in the form of putting up links and also quoting others from their own belief within the subforum. This is how I see it and if that is not how you see then so be it. Shalom, Tag

Now there is only a remnant left, and sadly we see another one leave. I must admit that I have been sadden by the loss of each and every one of them.

And everyone without a MJ icon will answers the question. and sometime they end up arguing with people with MJ icon. Why stay in the MJ section and get into arguments with people that don’t have MJ icons.

Reps: 1,844,544,520,064,472,064 (power: 1,844,544,520,064,490) | | Ironic...a non-Trinitarian Messianic coming to a Trinitarian forum and telling people he's sick of other faiths posting? Ahh...doesn't matter to me- it's all good.
Everyone has a point of view. I used to come here and really couldn't understand why non-Jewish Christian people were here teaching Gentile Christians all about Judaism like they had all the answers when they themselves really had no grounding in it other than book smarts and Google.
Then I realised something: it's just the internet.
I worked out that at the end of the day it's just the internet. I thought to myself relax...chill....it's just the internet.
There's good people on this forum- in fact I don't think anyone here is a bad person (I really like the people) but I must admit that some of them are tremendously difficult to really "get" where they're coming from- but after much patience and many years, you get to know them and learn how to more or less relate to them, and if they are also long-time stayers, they will get you too and at the end of the day you both will do just fine. Patience, after all, is a Christian virtue and this is a great place to get some basic training.
But the bottom line is: it's just the internet, after all.
Kingdoms are not built here, nor are world shaking truths revealed, nor are the laws that govern lands made here, nor is is this place the right place to do an apprenticeship in holy living, nor is this a place where real, by-your-side-at-the-grave-or-hospital fellowship can occur either. It's just the internet. Relax and enjoy yourself, and don't take it too seriously. That's the CF forum rule of survival.
So Shamash, you'll be fine.

Yes, this is true but... a number left, including me, at one point, because of the silly application of rules and some posters have returned. Let's not blame the departures on posters' behaviour alone! I cannot say more than this, for obvious reasons, but you get my drift, I am sure.
Hang on in Shamash - we've all fallen out with someone on our journey here; some more spectacularly than others! You just have to discern whether a poster is out to 'get you', or not. If he/she is then place them on 'ignore' rather than rise to their bait! At the end of the day you do not HAVE to respond to any thread or any post - if you escalate a situation it will get out of hand very quickly. If you feel something is wrong, click on the red button to report the issue and the moderator(s) will look at the matter and decide if action neeeds to be taken, against either side. Waiting for them to trawl the threads and find problems is placing far to much expectation on their role - this is why you have a Report button. You can report inappropraite links, text, pictures - well anything actually. |

I have learned that I have a wonderful gift. CHOICE. I can choose to agree, roll my eyes, talk to the computer screen in a fit of anger as someone totally misses my point or even maligns my character, meet those here in person if we are in the same area, ignore people, scroll through topics and pick which ones I want to read and which ones I don't... you get the picture.
I am so thankful that those who try and tell me my belief system is wrong probably have 10 others telling them the same thing, and when it is all said and done only G~d can approve or disapprove of me and get away with it.
So all that to say - leave if you must, but you are the one who will miss out on entertainment, challenge and something to do when you should be doing something else constructive.
