Just found this thread! I'm nursing my 18 month old, and also have a little guy that just turned 5. I don't know if I'll get caught up on all 101 pages, but will be hanging out here. __________________

We are not at just over 14 months and I'm back at fulltime work and he is still breastfeeding well.
I was so nervous about going back to work, I wasn't sure how either of us would cope and it took 6 weeks until he actually could be dropped off at day care without tears, but he seems to be settling in now.
He will still feed when I get home and I am allowed an extra half hour paid break to express. And even with my rotating shiftwork it is working out ok, although not sure about night shift as I haven't done that yet. He still sleeps with me, and will feed during the night. some nights more than others, so I'm not sure how he will cope with my first night.
Anyway there's my life story
I just can't express how beautiful and special this breastfeeding relationship that I have with my son is.
I didn't perservere with DD and now I realise how much we both missed out on.

We're still off and on bfing Jonathan (he took a break before the baby was born and had one really good nursing session on Wednesday when I got home -- I needed relief!), I think DH really wants me to wean him, but I am not ready. I just need help getting him on/off the couch or bed so I can nurse him, as I had a c-section last week.
Baby Teddy arrived on the 6th, and though I couldn't nurse him for 2 days, we've an awesome nursing relationship now.

Congrats on your new arrival HadassahSukkot! I'm glad all is going well for you!
My little one is almost 5 months now and still nursing great! Actually he's nursing so great that he's gone from bottles only at birth to "get that nasty fake thing away from me" at 4 1/2 months. Yup if I'm not available he will not eat! And he won't fuss about it either...DH or Nursery worker (church) will offer him a bottle of expressed milk and he MIGHT take an ounce of it and then be content to just play and wait for me to come back...once I'm back though all bets are off and he will NOT WAIT another second to be fed!
