So there's a thread going on in 'Exploring Christianity' Where the OP invited xtians to ask questions regarding atheism. This seems to be a more fitting place for such a discussion. So...
Hi! I'm RealityPixie and I'm an athiest!
Got a question about atheism? Wanna have a debate? Want to clear some things up about your religion? Or just looking to understand the atheistic world view?
Well here I am, your friendly neighbourhood atheist at your service! I dont claim to be an expert, but it seems there are a few of us floating around, and I'm sure the others will also be happy to help with your questions.
The only thing I ask from you is that if you provide a quote, statistic or any other information that is not your own thought, you must be willing to cite if it is asked of you. You don't have to write it out like a research paper, but if somebody asks where you got your info from you must be willing to supply the source, otherwise such info will be null and void.
Love;
Your friendly neighbourhood spider- I mean atheist
Please cite the authoritative source for the information that non-cited information is null and void. Or is it the atheist view that their opinion is valid whereas the opinion of others is invalid. This seems to violate the do unto others as you would have them do unto you rule. And my authoritative source for this rule is Matthew 7:12. But you may say that is not an authoritative source, so again it comes down to your opinion offering information (not an authoritative source) without a citation from a source I accept as authoritative. See the problem??

Why is atheism so... um... boring? I mean, don't get me wrong, I have no quarrel with atheists. It's just atheism. It's a thoroughly boring concept.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
It would be easier to construct an answer if you would explain what is boring for you about atheism. Also, what is required for you to find something interesting?
eudaimonia,
Mark

Buildings are interesting. Traditition is interesting. Stories are interesting. Hope is interesting. It's an unfortunate fact that atheism lacks all four.
