Like lavender said, it's unlikely that Muslims would be discharged from the military because of discrimination. I'm just wondering though how many Muslims in the US
are even enlisting currently, due to the fact it would be likely they would be sent to the middle east. I can't see them doing that. I don't believe they would go into combat against their fellow brothers.

No one is saying that there are no Muslims loyal to the United States. The question is, what of those that are not loyal? As a record we are constantly betrayed by Muslims in our country. The number is in the hundreds presently since 2002 of those murdered, it could go into the thousands anytime soon.
I find that number very hard to believe. What about white Muslims (Albanians for example) ? The view that "white people" are evil might exist among a few Nation of Islam folks but It's certainly not a view I've seen that often among mainstream Muslims. If Pat Robertson is saying that I think he is being very negligent with his sources.

Its a very complicated issue.
Most American muslims ,as i can tell, are perfectly integrated in the society, only moderately( at best) religious, dont buy into radical Islamism ideas, hate Sharia law , despise Intifada, agianst Jihad, and , hypothetically speaking, if found themselves with gun in their hands fighting agianst Islamic country invading US soil, would protect their homeland and ideals of freedom with the most sincere courage.
However you never know who is what deep inside.. Was that doctor just a nut, or had his shootings religious or anti-american flavor to it?.. I havent watched news today yet..
I think you should be patient and wait until he wakes up. The you will know why he committed this crime.
There are a few options
1. He has become psychotic through listening to the horror stories of war from other soldiers.
2. He is aggrieved by the way the US has dealt with Muslims in the war zone.
3. He is an extremeist and set out to kill as many people as possible.
