I remember some of the wooden toys from when I was growing up. I had a few of those popping vaccuums, too cute! Lincoln Logs and Light Brite were some of my favorites and I never thought that they were fun AND teaching me stuff. I just thought I was having a good time. I wonder what playing Barbie for hours upon hours taught me
I agree, all kinds of learning and development going on with these toys! When I was browsing the playskool website last week I found this list of key skills and what types of toys help develop them, pretty cool:
About the Playskills.
And tiredwalker, I'm sure you can find wooden toy versions of them since that seems to be your thing (pretty neat).
