Mine was my last semester of chemical engineering in a course called organic spectroscopy. Took me 6.5 hours and it was only 10 pages long. That was about 1.5 hours longer than anyone else, but I did get the highest mark lol.

As a Seventh Day Adventist, I could not sit my exam on a Saturday during Sabbath. Unfortunately, my exam was scheduled for 9am on a Sabbath morning.
From 9am until sunset, which was at 5:30pm, I had to be in the care of my pastor. I had to hang around him all day. Me and the couple of others who were in the same predicament were not allowed to talk to anyone else at church for the whole day. And then we finally got to sit the exam at about 6pm that night. My exam was Greek which is my worst subject and was a grueling, painful, awful, 3 hour long exam of fail. I didn't get any dinner, and so came out at 9pm starving. I had 12 hours of being able to talk to pretty much no one, with nothing to do, for the subject I was by far the worst at.
What is worse is some people are in the same predicament this semester. Except this time, sabbath sets at 8:30pm. So people with 3 hour exams, by the time we get to sit it, will come out at 12am. 9am-12am is the worst exam you could possibly imagine.

for the life of me that makes no sense...
why couldn't you just have a regular day and take the exam in the evening.. or just reschedule to a different day..

Windmill's experience sounds terrible, and not like something that would help you do a good test (Which is really really important to me, my scores can go from low to really high depending on how good of a test day it is for me).
I was going to give a terrible story, but Windmill's story beats mine.

Feeling good for a test is the most important thing. I would rather sleep 7 hours and study for 1 than study for 8 hours if that was all the study time I had for 2 tests.
JM
*I would probably study for 3 hours and sleep for 5. Of course the best option would be to not need to study more than an hour per test because you were prepared, but I am generally not so studious.* |

I just don't study.
Being chill is more important than revision.

You're right, the situation really made it that much worse... not a good environment to sit an exam
