Hey guys. I haven't been on here in a while, I hope everyone is doing well.
Anyways, the past 2 months I have really been struggling. I am a dancer (breakdancer) and acquired a knee condition called chondromalacia a few months ago. I first thought it was no big deal, but now I am learning I might not ever be able to dance again. This just devastated me. Dancing is my passion and feel like I would be completely lost without it. I know God has a plan for my life, but right now I don't understand why he would lead me away from something I love so much. I planned on really trying to incorporate my faith into my dancing and had alot of future plans. Im just lost, frustrated, and extremely saddened. Please pray for me, any advice would be welcome.

The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,

Shout aloud to the Lord, all the earth; Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with great joy. Know this: The Lord, He is God; He made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving And into His courts with hymns; Give thanks to Him; praise His name; For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And his truth is from generation to generation. ~~Psalm 99~~
My prayers and sympathies!
I kind of can relate. I was on a good track to doing musicals and such at a few years older than you (and I didn't even have my faith then). I ended up with chronic sinus problems/allergies that nothing seems to cure and my voice changed completely and not for the better. Fortunately at the same time I had been studying something that wasn't at all related to music and knew that if things didn't work out I'd have something to fall back on. In the end I didn't end up doing that either but still...
It's a hard thing to deal with but I promise you it will get better. If you can't dance, maybe you can teach or maybe you can find your passion in something else. In the end when we sit down and look around (instead of just on our own belly button) it turns out that we don't really have it as bad as we thought we did. Trust me I don't follow my own advise half the time but I try... I complained like no other after I couldn't really sing anymore but it was a wake up call when my uncle took pity on me and felt so bad for me (and there he is a paraplegic in a wheel chair) Did make me feel like an idiot at the time, still does.
God has a plan, half the time you wonder why it sucks so bad, but he has a good one somewhere there for you!
