I have always been led to believe that when it comes to creationism there was nothing to discuss, creationism is a belief that Genesis 1 is the literal truth, how can that belief be discussed? any discussion would just go around in circles.
Discussions can only be had between two people who hold the same belief, anyone else would not understand how or why a person could hold that belief.
For example, we can discuss that plants were created before animals. There could be tons and tons of scientific discussions on this issue. It is much much MORE than just a faith.
Hey, evolutionists. Have interest in talking about it? I am not a biologist nor a paleontologist. So, there is no need to be afraid of me. But I think I can beat most, if not all of you, on this issue.
First, there is no common ancestor for animal cell and plant cell. Right? There is no need to argue about this question. Just say "right !" (some of you may even say that this is an irrelevant question to evolution, I think that is a cowardly answer.). Then I have more interesting topics for you after this.
Sigh, I can feel already that there are not many of you qualified for this discussion. Some of you can only yell: Evidence ! Evidence !
I've already explained that the thread was spiraling downward --- in my opinion.
I can't speak for administration, but I'm giving the reason I'm glad it was shut down.
You said it was because of blasphemy. I pointed out that the individuals doing the blasphemy wasn't removed from existance by the forum shutting down, the debates and blasphemy continue, hence nothing is truly solved. You haven't countered this.
Since you can't explain your reasoning, I'm going to have to guess it's an "out of sight, out of mind" thing.
GA was closed because it wasn't doing what it was supposed to do.
It was supposed to be the forum where the atheist asked christians question, the christians answered them and the atheists converted.
That didn't happen.
Indeed, christians were for the most part unable to answer the questions with any sense and reverted for the most part to hell and brimstone speeches.
When it became apparent that not only was GA not converting the heathen atheists but some christians were even beginning to actually think about what they believed without the blinders of faith the board had to be shut down.
Non-christians need to understand your role on this forum, you are not here to debate, you are here to be preached to and to click on ads to make money for the owner of the site.
